Man who allegedly tried to assassinate Donald Trump at Florida golf club named. Who is he?
  • It keeps getting reported he voted for Trump but unless he was registered to vote in another state he did not vote in 2016 or 2020. Imagine a guy making claims on social media that were untrue.

Hannity Falsely Calls Trump’s Would-Be Assassins ‘Democrats’
  • He is registered Unaffiliated in NC but did vote in the Democratic primary in March but for all we know it was a protest vote against Biden.

We do know he was coo-coo bananas and should not have had access to firearms.

FBI: Trump target of apparent assassination attempt in Florida
  • All I can say is Ryan Wesley Routh of Guilford County NC born 1966 did not vote in NC in 2016 or 2020. https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup Maybe he voted in another state or just as likely is just a nut bar that says things that don't match reality.

Trump brands Kamala Harris’s lower grocery prices policy ‘communist’
  • NC governor is a Democrat (and was on Harris's short list for VP)

While the legislature is Republican run our AG & Secretary of State are both Democrats and it will be quite difficult for Republicans to gum up the election I'm sure they will try though

Trump to hold another news conference while Harris touts drug price cuts.
  • You are correct, he didn't want to talk about economic plans but his advisors are begging him to give them something to try and change the narrative because he is sinking bigly. The crowd there was maybe 2k tops but they (the professionals running his campaign) need sound bites and clips of him looking if not Presidential, at least coherent for the nightly news. But of course Trump can't stay on message so he keeps slipping further in the polls and will be blaming everyone around him and attacks those trying to help him get back to the White House.

    You love to see it.

“Mastodon for Harris” is a Success Story for Fediverse Activism
  • The goal is not only to support the Harris campaign but also to raise the visibility of Mastodon including possibly an official Harris for President presence there. I believe the fundraiser has already convinced ACTBlue to include a share on Mastodon link.

  • Congratulations on being the parent they felt comfortable coming out to! Son came out around the same age, he's 20 now.

A lot is going to depend on your location. Name change paperwork was a chore but not as much as navigating insurance for HRT. Public school was mostly okay but much was remote due to COVID.

Pm if you have any particular questions.

I'm not suggesting folks get complacent but I wouldn't lose sleep over any polls this far out. The fact that Trump has ANY support is worrying though.

Men over 30, what contributes to weight gain besides slower metabolism when you get older? Is it really hard to stay in shape?
  • Mid 50s here. One of the biggest factors for me has been how long it takes to recover from the wear and tear of being active. In my 20s I could be sore in the afternoon from exercise in the morning but be fine by evening. Now 48 hrs is typical. At my age I'm only focusing on maintenance and injury prevention.
