Share your homelab uptime! mine is 30 days again!
  • Last 90 Days 100% Uptime. And before anyone says => Do Updates:

I do Updates twice a week, got everything in a high availability setup so i dont have any downtime when updating.

3 ISP Connections + Online Reverseproxy helps aswell to keep 100% when one ISP goes down

    Cloudflare for private network
  • You need to use your public ip and forward the port for it to work.

If you only want to resolve it internally you have to host the dns server and make every Device use your dns

DVR Softwares are driving me crazy...
  • Meh. So its in a Business location cause it watches My Business + My Familys Business + Our House and Parking spots.

I dont think face recognition is too smart in such case?! Since it has probably >300 Faces each day

Setting Up a Remote Server with Raspberry Pi: Where to Begin?
  • I would use ssh with keyfile authentication to be honest.

Just set it up, maybe install jdownloader etc on ur and you are good to go.

(Maybe ddns if its a dynamic ip)

    Hey Guys.

    I need your help.

Iam currently searching for a Software for my IP Security cams.

After looking and testing several solutions from here: https://github.com/awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted#video-surveillance I still need your help

-Bluecherry => Meh license costs something

-Frigate => exactly what iam looking for, but i dont use Homeassistant...

-Kerberos => Pretty heavy but pretty good documented + nice Features

-Zoneminder => Looks pretty solid aswell.

Is anyone of you using one of the solutions above and if so, do you like it? And are there Features that are missing / that you dont like.

Iam currently thinking about using either

    -Installing Homeassistant and using Frigate

    Or

    -Go with Kerberos

    Thanks for your suggestions
