  • Just watched Gran Turismo in 4DX, and honestly? It’s one of the best experiences I had in a cinema. My only regret is not watching Top Gun in 4DX.

  • Maybe I’m just being petty, but Filipino film nerds are unbearable man 😂.

Saw a reddit post talking about the cinemas in the country where you shouldn’t watch, and pretty much almost all of the famous cinemas are there. Like ano ba gusto nila? To convince casual moviegoers to stop going to those accessible cinemas and have the same mindset as them when it comes to choosing cinemas? Lol

  • IMAX Evia was also one of my options, but apparently there are noticeable black spots in the screen, and the hefty price tag (apparently 1k for a ticket) are what threw me off.

  • Man, in the past few days and weeks, Filipino film nerds in twitter and reddit swore up and down that IMAX is the only way to watch the movie despite knowing that we’re getting the cropped version.

Having just finished watching it, I pretty much agree with your insights. Clear audio is a definitely a must as I definitely missed some lines.

  • Just finished watching Oppenheimer in A-Giant Screen in Ayala Malls Manila Bay. Pretty solid experience overall. For the price of 550 (I opted for a skybox seat) you get a large screen, reclined seats, and free popcorn and drinks, so imo you really have no room to complain here. I was contemplating on going here or IMAX MOA, but ultimately settled here because we’re getting the cropped version anyway. The tickets there are also more expensive, no free popcorn and drinks, and you also can’t bring outside food and drinks. Also, I believe there are already audio issues over there, so to me it’s really a no brainer.

  • Do you guys think this country will eventually have a high capacity (let’s say that can hold 70-80k people) outdoor stadium in the near future? I became interested in this topic because of Taylor Swift and Coldplay’s world tour as they perform in outdoor stadiums and it then occurred to me that we actually don’t have a high capacity outdoor stadium here (though I guess it makes sense as Filipinos typically aren’t into outdoor sports so I guess the investment for a high capacity stadium probably isn’t worth it).
