Congrats Everyone and thank yooou! :3
Oh, that's not nice
Ooh, a bandeira foi destruida? Nóo, eu até tinha ajudado um pouco, triste...
Amogus moment
Well, that sure was peak content
ooh my old laptop had a problem like this too, but instead of ripping off it just got so rigid it would probably completely destroy the whole hull if i tried to force it open, to "fix" it, me and my cousin just opened the laptop and (carefully /s) completely removed the hinges (or at least the part of it that connects to the base of the laptop), now it is right beside me here hosting a jellyfin server with the screen being propped up only by a wi-fi router >:3
I so laughed when i saw they already start with that lol
Hooray, Spread it around everyone! :3
"I don't think that was supposed to happen" haha, yeeah
I see, thank you very much!
Oooooh hold on, you said most GPUs have an LED, ok, now that makes more sense, misread that haha
Oh i see, this 400W one i got said it had one of those 80 plus White certification or something, and said it had 80% efficiency, so if this is true i suppose it may do the job then, about this light thing, I'll look for that when it arrives, never saw a PSU with an LED, interesting, thanks there!
Little extra question tho, is there really no way that this 400W PSU could handle one of those? i mean, its TDP seems to be 150W, with the 77W from the i5, there's still bit left there till 400
Yeah, it's complicated, not sure but i guess it's cuz the higher end stuff is just so out of reality for most people here that the demand for the older stuff goes up enough for it to become pricey too, and there's also the insane import taxation that began recently just making everything worse
Thanks for the answers! But oh, yeah those 570 seem pretty good, problem is i already just bought a 400W PSU some days ago, didn't search up properly haha, pain
Aand also, i can't really seem to find any 570 being sold here on Brazil for a decent price, the price tag difference from a 560 to a 570 is like, veery big, and importation isn't really an option since fees would basically double the price
The cheapest not used 560 i could find here is currently being sold at R$623,52 (if purchased in installments, slightly cheaper if not) which in a direct conversion would be 118,67 USD
The only option on that level for a lower price would be those used refurbished ones from aliexpress, some of them have stock on Brazil, but i haven't heard that good of their durability, and my power supply wouldn't be able to handle them anyway
I don't interact a whole lot, but when i do i've been having a pretty nice experience, thanks there everyone!
And yeah, happy cake day sh.itjust.works!

Oooh so that's what he says, thank you very much, now i can truly see the joke
Ooh haha, that really confused me there, thanks for the explanation!
Yeah, i usually have a bootable usb with some Linux distro laying around exactly for cases like that
Thanks for the advice there!
Yeaah.
Fortunally i got to convince the person to bring their whole PC, so now i won't have to deal with this anymore! Thank you very much for the answers you and everyone here!
So, i use linux, i don't have any windows install on my disk, but someone wants me to install windows on their HDD, so, if i plug said HDD on one of my sata ports and try to install windows 10 on it, will it mess with my linux boot? if yes, is there a way to prevent that without physically disconnecting my main drive? (my main is an nvme ssd, that's why I'd rather not remove it, already suffered enough trying to screw that in ther

changing the email on the email field on the settings menu doesn't seem to do anything so i wanted to ask to make sure
So, i just started using I3 through Arcolinux, it's working pretty nicely all things considered but i'm having one little problem, a game i play uses keys that are very close to a keybind combination that is set here and that makes me accidentally trigger it sometimes, and i wanted to know how, if possible i can make so this keybind is disabled while I'm playing this game, searching for a solution i found this thread on reddit (yeah, lack of better places, but hey I'm asking here now so it's an opportunity to get some info on here!) That seems to be talking about pretty much what i need, buut i have no idea how to create these scripts and all that and i didn't had much success on searching on how to do this kind of thing before so... a little help please? Is there any more efficient method, or something like that?
So, i use linux with kde and was copying some gigabytes of files from a smartphone to a usb device and while doing that the system monitor kept showing that it was writing some mb/s and i got curious, is said writing happening to my ssd or is it just talking about the usb drive?
Does having swap memory damage SSDs too much, what do you think about it?
I hope it's fine to ask this here, I'm using endeavor os with KDE and got some little speakers for my pc, they however only seem to play sound from the "front left" channel, is there a way to make pulse audio send all audio on it? Like, mono mode? I couldn't find anything that does that...
Edit: Found a solution! Like i said before in a comment on this post turned out i was running pipewire-pulse, so i could use pipewire solutions! tried easyeffects and it perfectly fitted my needs, thanks for all the responses everyone!
Yeah, that's the question, found out bout this browser some time ago and got curious on what do people around here think about it, seems to be open sorce and firefox based so... Does it have a general good reputation among those who know it?
(Floorp's oficial website: https://floorp.app/ And their github page that is in English: https://github.com/Floorp-Projects/Floorp/)
If I'm not mistaken the 240gb ssd + 500gb hd combination is a tiiiny little cheaper, which one y'all think is more worth it and why?
This question studdenly appeared in my mind, A hypothetical liquid that is completely incapable of transferring (consequentially holding too, right?) Any heat in any way, how would it feel to touch it? We feel cold when heat gets out of our body and hot when it gets in right? Would it just feel perfectly neutral?
Found this slightly sus shaped string on the floor recently
😱
Lol
I should’ve cutted this pic before posting it is too large, sorry!
