Tolerating intolerance
  • Remember that there is no paradox of tolerance if you treat it as a social contract instead of a moral issue: Those who do not abide by it are not protected by it.

Apparently the frag grenades don't use standard explosives
  • I just use 'em to either launch my enemies on low-grav planets, or to make the AI leave cover if I can't be arsed to flush 'em out myself.

So does the well use the Roller Coaster Tycoon guest noises?
  • Bust a couple caps in the Well, and everyone starts screaming; it's pretty hilarious because it keeps going way longer than necessary.

  • Hoping to make this a discussion/brainstorming thread.

I hit level 20 and noticed that I had accumulated a healthy supply of random crafting items, so I decided to go into manufacturing. I set up my initial base on Sirius 3-B, and started expanding to other moons throughout the system, but I'm not sure what I should be manufacturing.

I've invested pretty heavily into my weapon and spacesuit design skills, but I've only got two points into outpost construction; I can set up simple and commercial fabricator/extractors, but I'm not sure what I'll need down the line. Any advice or suggestions from veteran Outpost builders?

    Firefox is the only way.
  • Real talk, if even Steam is Chromium-based, how can I escape? Is there a non- or less-evil, but similar launcher? I'm trying to shift away, but it's really difficult since everyone I know uses at least one, usually many of those programs.

After Work Gaming: What games do you enjoy mostly after a day of work?
  • Oh, most definitely! They added a ton of random encounters, throne room encounters, and a crap-ton of other content. It's got waaay more stuff, including QoL stuff like the ability to invade more than once. Highly recommend another look!

After Work Gaming: What games do you enjoy mostly after a day of work?
  • My jam is an indie game called Warsim! It's got a delightful arena battle minigame that you can bet on, complete with audience interference, a spike pit, and goblin streakers. After that, you can have a pint of various drinks in one of dozens of unique taverns, and round out the evening by presiding over the royal court and issuing decrees, proclamations, and dropping unruly petitioners through my personal trapdoor.
