  • has a left-wing bias

    So does reality.

But some people are, perplexingly, still concerned with "being fair".

  • People like this want you conflate "the country of Israel" with "all ethnic/religious Jewish people everywhere"

It allows them to more easily call people antisemitic when you criticize the Israeli government.

Even IF Israeli intelligence hadn't ignored reports of potential attacks, and even IF they hadn't intentionally lowered security in order to make potential attacks worse, all in order to give them and excuse to do the thing they already wanted to do, committing genocide in response is a FULL FUCKING STOP "no"

  • Inside those shells is a tiny disco ball

  • "he made some popular things and something that I personally like so the hate is clearly all fake news" is certainly quite the take.

  • m not American. The presence of fascists in US politics has been a commonly accepted truth in anybody anywhere left of demochristians for half a century.

I am an American and idk where this idea comes from because I've been noticing a decline at least since high school political science forced me to pay attention for the first time. It's been hard not to notice the slope getting steeper every day.

  • Lol.

    LMAO, even.

This particular downslope has been around for 20+ years, and it's been arguably more like 50 years.

Hell, the only reason we have the small amount of gun control we do is because Regan was afraid of black people owning guns.

Fascism has been festering for a long time, most people only notice now because it's finally affecting them.

  • It's because some people are still playing by a rulebook that's burning in the corner trash can. Some people are still concerned with "what's proper".

In other words, "because she's living in a fantasy world where normally that would have been a bad look"

  • So Texas is trying to kick off a civil war by invading another state.

  • My wife's best friend's roommate believes she is a witch that casts spells to bring her wealth and fame, and in her words, they "don't seem to be working" and she "doesn't know what she's doing wrong" because she "followed the spell perfectly"

She also refused to use my spare hammock when she tagged along unexpectedly over the weekend until she could burn some sage and waft it around because apparently my hammock was apparently possessed by someone who died in a hammock.

She also asked, repeatedly, if she could do a tarot card reading, but warned me if I wanted to try and ask the same yes or no question, her deck "likes to be a catty bitch" and give random answers. Crazy how that works out...

My wife also used to live with some people who claimed to be a witch and a warlock and that their property was haunted by natives who had been buried there and I would absolutely 100% see them if I ever spent the night. Sadly, despite assurances that they were around every night, I didn't see them any of the times I stayed over, even when I camped in a tent half a mile from the house.

And quite a few people around me are super duper into crystal healing.

  • I'd prefer to just bury them in soft peat for 3 months and recycle them as firestarters.

  • The first time I ever played it I was in my "fuck you I won't do what you tell me" phase.

I still feel that way, but now it's not a phase.

Plus the little tink is hilarious.

  • Yeah, it's crazy that you can actually put the can IN the trash. Most games it would just sit awkwardly on top of a transparent hitbox. Never seen it myself, though... I'm something of a rebel.

  • Weird, I was literally just thinking about FLoB last week, and meant to see if he ever got there.

My wife asked what I was doing, so that side tracked me into explaining the Far Lands, and we ended up playing Minecraft for the night.

I honestly expected it to take WAY longer to get there.

  • reads manual

You're only confused because I'm dumb! For some reason I was thinking toner and laser were separate types.

  • I bought a toner printer in 2020 and I'm still on the first replacement cart. I have over 2000 pages printed.

Considering I spent $80, plus $40 on the new two pack of toner, I consider it money well spent.

I do wish I had bought a laser printer though... There are things I would like to begin printing that will be several thousand pages after it's all finished. Mostly reference materials. DISREGRD THIS I DUM

  • Feel free to turn a blind eye to reality, not all of us are priveleged enough to do so.

  • If I wanted to go through the process of trying to recover my facebook, I guarantee I would get a few dozen people tossing out hand emojis and saying "amen" before anyone notices I'm not talking about the christian god

  • Well since the US government doesn't own a massive body of water, nor can it truly claim to own a mountain that's been around for 200 million years (I'm not sure of the actual age of the range, I'm just basing off geologic maps of bedrock age) , i hold the "new names" in the same regard as I would if someone intruduced themselves as Bill but some guy keeps yelling at me "HER NAME IS AMY DON'T CALL HER BILL"

I give the crackhead down the street who calls the three block area his "domain" more respect than the US regime.

  • I still have the VHS I recorded it on back in the day. No vcr, but it's sitting in a box in my closet, waiting for the day when I want to see commercials for SG1 Mondays and other Sci fi shows.

Also the DVD, since I actually want to watch it every so often...

I keep introducing it to new people, but it seems to be a bit of a niche interest.

  • It must be nice, living in a fantasy world where good people win because they're good and the bad guys get to sit in jail for being bad.

I would love it if we lived in an ideal world where everyone plays by the rules.

I am not naive enough to think we live in that world.
