  • To add the whole Conservative criminal platform is clearly falling apart.

Pretty much all of Pierre's ideas like multiple life sentences, 3 strikes and in general just incarcerating a lot more people is clearly copying American policies.

For anyone not paying attention on how that's going for them, the Republicans themselves is saying no one is safe anymore and have been actively calling for civil war.

  • As someone who thinks much of the American's actions is them stabbing themselves, we only need to twist the knives at the right time.

Overall measures like this in this short of a timeline isn't what people should really be worried about. We need to be moving longer term things away from the Americans but people are already up in arms about the project provincial deficit. We should be worried about our outcomes not theirs.

Also randomly half related thing, Rustad overwhelmingly won the BC Conservative leadership review.

  • Regarding credibility I think it should be brought up the same source and author used a footage from a Chow Yun Fat movie as evidence of foreign interference.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Cooper_(journalist)

In September 2024, Cooper published a report in The Bureau claiming to show video evidence of Bill Majcher, a former RCMP undercover operative accused of assisting Chinese intelligence, meeting with drug trafficker Tse Chi Lop in a Macau casino. Journalist Nury Vittachi noted that the purported video footage actually was from the 2014 action-comedy movie From Vegas to Macau, starring Chow Yun-fat.[13] The article was subsequently retracted by Cooper.[14]

  • Pretty certain he just reposted it because he saw someone rage baiting Carney.

It's the same as him saying CBC is propaganda then turning around reposting them when they're pointing something negative about the Liberals.

  • I'm speaking about the chart and how it's simplistically presented because Pierre isn't exactly one for context nor has he ever factored in how things has changed around the world after 2020.

And for people looking for a real information for this data. Statistics Canada did a analysis last year during the GDPP craze and part of it was industrial investment how government policy played a substantial role in it.

And since people keep bringing it up Harper led Canada into 2 recessions 2008 and 2015.

  • I have some questionable feelings for Elizabeth, but I appreciate for this:

Specifically she grinded away for a while before getting a seat. These days most people seem to show up for a election then just disappear forever if they aren't automatically given a seat.

  • I think with this term of Trump, Conservatives realized they were actually spending to much effort rage baiting previously.

If this was last year they would have just chopped off the chart at Trudeau and just showed a line going downwards, now they include the full datasets and people literally won't look a couple centimeters to the left to figure out they're getting scammed.

  • My perspective of this is that it's similar to the clapping for the side the fought against the Russian/Soviets during WW2.

If you shout some feel good slogans with a bunch of holes in it you'll just get a brain dead effort applause from most of the "leaders" of this country.

Although I'm fairly certain that there's decent amount of Liberals and Conservative also that agreed with what Kirk was doing.

  • This links to one of the biggest pieces of shit Canadian political social media influencers Mario Zelaya.

Anyone who wants evidence go look at what he posts you don't even have to be selective. If you really need help finding a post you could start with him saying Charlie Kirk was one of the best human beings.

  • I think people should be weary that while you might not voluntarily go to fascism. Fascism is coming to you.

Pierre was essentially licking his lips and pointing the finger at the other side before Kirk's body even hit the ground. And a group of people certainly seems to be falling for it like usual.

  • Wire Article - Right-Wing Activists Are Targeting People for Allegedly Celebrating Charlie Kirk’s Death

They got a website and a list going. The protect the women and children conservatives are awful quiet along with the anti-crime ones.

A central hub of this activity is a website called Charlie’s Murderers, which was registered in the early evening on the day Kirk was shot and is revealing certain personal information, such as social media usernames and email addresses, of individuals the operators believe were celebrating the horrific murder. One of the first names listed on the sites was Rachel Gilmore, an independent journalist at Bubble Pop Media who wrote on X that she was “terrified to think of how far-right fans of Kirk, aching for more violence, could very well turn this into an even more radicalizing moment. Will they now believe their fears have been proven right and feel they have a right to ‘retaliate,’ regardless of who actually was behind the initial shooting?”

  • To OP's credit they used a archived mirror and there's not much other sources reporting on it as of now.

But I do want point out that Post Media aside from their biases is actually just shoddy journalism.

    From the article:

China’s decision to levy a 76 per cent tariff on canola seed has been viewed as coming in direct response to Canada’s levy on Chinese electric vehicles.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/china-electric-vehicle-tariffs-canola-1.7311611

Sept. 2024 - China has been pretty upfront about it be retaliatory response.

China said on Tuesday it plans to start an anti-dumping investigation into canola imports from Canada, after Ottawa moved to impose tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, lifting prices of domestic rapeseed oil futures to a one-month peak.

  • The extra interesting part. Although the article pretty short.

Air Canada flight attendants on Saturday overwhelmingly voted against the airline's latest wage offer, their union said — a vote that's expected to have no impact on flight operations.

The tentative deal, which ended a strike at the airline last month, includes a 12 per cent salary increase this year for most junior flight attendants and an eight per cent bump for more senior members, followed by smaller raises in subsequent years.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) said in a statement that 99.1 per cent of members rejected the proposal, arguing flight attendants would still earn less than federal minimum wage.

  • Been doing these Conservative ideology vs Conservatives.

For this one is that a large part of the TFW program abused to exploit people for financial gains. e.i. Capitalism. Out of the things Conservatives would actually give a committed answer to economically is that they want more capitalism.

Not sure why they believe Pierre would be a improvement for this.

  • Can you elaborate on the "authorize" portion? This is all that's in the article regarding why the person is speaking at the event.

Roberts is speaking to Carney's cabinet during a session dubbed "establishing a new economic and security relationship with the U.S." They will also hear from Kevin Rudd, Australia's ambassador to the U.S., during the session.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said Roberts is speaking to cabinet about trade issues because he knows the Trump administration's playbook.

  • It's amazing people are actually falling for this stuff from Pierre and Danielle.

    • He doesn't know details of what happened in the recent case that caused this discussion.
    • He doesn't know the law surrounding this.
    • He doesn't even believe in this. If you told in you're glad he's on private property and started walking up to him he'd shriek then run behind a bodyguard.

Not to even mention all the statistics behind the stand your ground states.
