[HN] Apple Maps Gradually Winning over Google Maps Users, Report Suggests
  • I’ve noticed more issues with Google Maps the last few months - it doesn’t indicate exits properly, some exits and streets are mislabeled, it doesn’t seem as good as it used to be in general at avoiding construction or accidents. Also noticing it hangs or stops refreshing occasionally on CarPlay. They may have done an update that’s not working as it should. So I’ve started to use Apple Maps as an alternative, and it does seem better than I remembered.

Twitter is “tanking” amid Threads’ surging popularity, analysts say
  • I think Twitter is tanking because of Twitter. Remains to be seen if Threads has any legs or if it will be the next Google+, Periscope, Meerkat, etc.

  • I have not read a single good thing about Threads. I had no idea it was even a thing until they bombarded us with news on the media about its launch. I think it’s going to be as memorable as Google + or Hi5.
