Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wants to ban drug ads on TV. It wouldn’t be easy - West Hawaii Today
  • Remember, this would probably include flu/COVID vaccines at CVS just as much as restless leg syndrome pills. Just because the words "ban drug ads" sound like a good thing doesn't mean the implementation is acceptable. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

3D-printed guns, like the one Luigi Mangione allegedly used, are a growing threat
  • My best guess is the materials. Last I looked into them they were entirely 3D printed except for a roofing nail to act as the firing pin. The drastic reduction in metal makes them easier to sneak passed metal detectors. Other than that, you seem right on the nose.

Tesla recalling almost 700,000 vehicles due to tire pressure monitoring system issue
  • Every time there's a recall, I remember the equation from Fight Club and how the company has to make a decision to recall or absorb the costs. Tesla has had A LOT of recalls mostly with the cyber truck. Musk doesn't seem like the kind of person to be cautious and recall to be on the safe side.

    So... What AREN'T they recalling?

Walmart employees are now wearing body cameras in some stores
  • Body cameras and the footage they gather are commonly advertised as a way to prevent shoplifting, but Walmart intends to use the tech for worker safety — not as a loss prevention tool, according to a person familiar with the program.
