  • The fact that you only see politics as a binary system where it's one party or the other is utterly asinine. There are political bodies and philosophies outside of US Republicans and Democrats. Being left leaning doesn't automatically mean liking or believing in the platform of the Democratic party.

  • Honestly you could get a griddle for your stove top and get a much safer, cleaner and overall better experience. Costs some money, but you could probably find one that would hold up for under $50

  • Hell at this point it's that added with another nefarious reason. It's because in places like the US homeless are on par with untouchables.

Our hierarchies are so segmented they may as well be castes: and that's by design. If there's a group as poor off as homeless individuals then it shows other "lower castes" that they better fall in line or get kicked down to their level.

Why not help these homeless individuals? Because it takes money away from the "top castes" money pile. It also takes away the threat of homelessness that the "upper castes" use to keep the "middle castes" in line.

  • As long as you're not ingesting it and use proper masking then you should be fine from my understanding. If I remember correctly the main issue with Teflon was how often it was used in pots and pans.

Mix that with improper use, and it can cause flaking of the Teflon. Things like stirring with metal utensils instead of wooden ones lead to many people ingesting a lot of the stuff.

Edit: realized it can be aerosolized and added that use of a face mask would likely help any additional problem brought on by that.

  • Minimum Wage workers/general laborers are the literal backbone of any work force. Their value is literally instrumental to any and all industries. These industries would simply collapse if minimum wage workers are taken out of the equation. And that's without pointing out that wage isn't indicative of how important someone is to a workplace.

And automation doesn't mean much when you still need an entire force to upkeep all of those machines. And I'd bet my right arm and left leg that if wage pricing is left to corporations that they'll place said workers at minimum wage if they can get away with it.

  • I stop reading after that since those are made up words.

Ahh, so you're a complete fucking moron then. Checks out since you're defending Andrew "I moved to Romania so I wouldn't be charged with rape" Tate.

  • It did look very similar to GTA V, but it's also worth noting that pretty much all of the footage was from very early production. It's likely that they were using less detailed character/world models for testing purposes. I imagine the game will look pretty damn good and modern once the proper lighting and textures are applied.

Ultimately I don't remember anything incredibly interesting from the videos I saw outside of a couple of story beats revolving around the new main characters. It seemed like most of the videos were pretty much testing certain console and systems at non-specified points in game.

  • How about linking to a source that doesn't have a 30 to 15 dollar paywall for non-members? Or at the very least posting the full study instead of straight to the paywall that most people can't afford.

The paper is also from 2020 so it's also missing the most recent information and context in regards to the water being diluted and sent out.

Edit: a user directed me to where I could find the full study, and it can be found here Ultimately the study says there should be additional research into the isotopes found within the tanks beyond the tritium found in them.

I definitely agree additional studying should be done, but even then the article doesn't disagree with releasing the tanks. Instead they would rather wait until the isotopes are more decayed. There is however a risk of tank breach due to possible natural disasters such as tsunamis or earthquakes that would allow these isotopes to be release in a more potent concentration.

So the option is to either release it in lower concentration and diluted water is specific amounts, or hold on to it and hope the tanks don't breach for 60 years.

  • You're right: you were being a condescending asshole. And then OP replied in good faith, and you proceeded to look like a dumb condescending asshole with nothing to say. Great job.

    RIP hexbear.

  • They literally engaged in good faith asking what to read just for you to reply like a condescending twat.

You can't even follow through on your original point, and you look like an insufferable idiot.
