  • @mattblaze@federate.social First, it would be great to have access to these places, I assume you weren't out for a leisurely walk underneath Philadelphia. Second, the Angelika? That seems random, did they purposely invest in art house theaters?

  • @mattblaze@federate.social They do resemble a histogram. And the sense that they are sculptural makes the landscape much more interesting to me

  • @mattblaze@federate.social Thank you for all of the interesting details and link. I love photography and taking pictures, but I often feel as though I just got lucky. While this is a level of skill I can only ever aspire to at this point in life

  • @croyle@wandering.shop That's very cool! The colors caused by heat are amazing. I would forget what I was forging and just take pictures ( not that I could do any forging 😅)

  • @mattblaze@federate.social I'm from a town that's about an hour and a half north of Pittsburgh so we had to go down there for the hospital, the airport etc. but I've never seen that building in real life. If I ever get back to Pittsburgh I have something to look forward to, thanks!

  • @mattblaze@federate.social This is magnificent! Definitely feels timeless and thanks for the explanation of how you managed to get the shot and the light inside

  • @mattblaze@federate.social This is just spectacular! I can't imagine what it took to get that picture lined up and so early in the morning. Last week I posted a picture of just the bank of metropolis building, it's sad to see it empty for so long. I often have physical therapy in one of those buildings and like to take photos around Union Square Park

  • @mattblaze@federate.social This is such a beautiful way to think about it. I've become more and more interested in photographing construction sites, seeing how things are actually built from the ground up and the construction workers who bring these projects to life and often go unacknowledged
