How many people actually dropped Reddit for Lemmy?
  • Thank you but I'm quite liking being away from Reddit. Sometimes I still check posts when I'm researching something and it comes up, but I'm not spending endless time scrolling either. I do miss a few smaller communities though which is a shame.

  • I've been told I need to read more sci fi by non-white authors and looking at my shelves I think it's true and I want to try something new. But I realised I sadly couldn't think of any authors off the top of my head! Can anyone recommend anything?

[Vote] Book of the Month (August 2023)
  • Not enough sci fi fans seem to read neuromancer, it's what got me into it and I recommend to anyone who likes fast paced cyberpunk. Such a vivid book to me.

What are you Reading? (August 2023)
  • Currently working through Stephen King's dark tower series, on book 4 so getting through them quick. First time I've read any of his stuff but I'm hooked.

  • !I'm not sure if this is a Lemmy thing or an app thing but when I look at my comments/ posts on my profile some of these are a different colour. What does this mean?

Want to hear about what sort of things you all have planned and coming up? Next one for me is Critical day time event in London: Enei, Kasra, Halogenix, SP:MC and others.
