Totally agreed. SNES hit that sweet spot of being the pinnacle of 2D consoles right before the awkward years of early 3D.

I didn't know the story behind it until recently, but the first time I watched DS9, I thought "Wait, are they really trying to get away with replacing this awesome character with a younger, cuter actor?" I assumed it was a desperate bid for ratings.

I thought they both did a great job, but we'd had 6 seasons to get attached to Jadzia!

Retro games rock. I've been playimg a lot of retro and retro-themed indie games lately.

It's just the sound of some machine running, but the meme is usually something along the lines of:

The humor is in stubbornly doing something in a dumb way.
