That certain way is basically co-opted by Republicans. Texas has a governor, two senators, and a 2-to-1 ratio of House reps that were VOTED IN BY TEXANS that are Republicans. The policy of energy independence pushed by these representatives elected by majorities has led to awful, yet predictable, outcomes. This is the very definition of the state reaping what it has sown.

Had one of their fridges a while back with their proprietary compressor design. It kicked the bucket at about 2-3 years old. All appliance repair shops that I contacted in my area, including an LG-certified one, declined repairs. Most of them even immediately asked if it was an LG when I asked if they did compressor replacements to head me off at the pass. It was a good product while it worked, but that's only half the equation.

Eh...Not too hot on this. I grew up watching Mark Martin drive the Valvoline NASCAR stock car and am happy to see them partner with an F1 team, but by the same token I think that AM's normal livery is terrific. The various Valvoline decals are inoffensive enough but the 'mohawk' is kinda meh.
I imagine that it will be in the sporting regs that the two must be used at the same time and may not be used separately, although having the whole assembly as one piece may be tricky (I would love to see that done though). We'll know next week what the FIA and Mercedes have in mind though.
Hopefully the weather is conducive for a full functionality test and not just an installation and aero shakedown. Right now it's looking like next week will be a damp one there but we'll see. Maybe they can get Ecclestone out there with a hose.
The article claims that the teams have worked on this implementation, so I expect that the cars won't be hampered too much aerodynamically from the new parts. It also says that F1 worked on it as well, so I expect that it will be used for its intended purpose and not just as another aero component. Realistically, if this ultimately gets developed as a non-spec part then expect teams to have it do the minimum permitted amount of deflection and focus more on how they can benefit from manipulating aero around the tire.
What gives me pause, however, is that in articles about this proposed change from both last year and this year there is a reiterated notion that conditions arising that would necessitate the installation of the new components would be paired with a red flag. Hopefully they'll change their tune on that and have it be something to be done on the fly.

Q - Won't it just push detritus away from the epicenter and make a mess? A - It can, if the bidet has narrow spray. Mine does this. Just do a quick shimmy that makes the jet draw a decreasing radius spiral.
Q - Doesn't everything get wet? A - Some bidets have air dryers, but in the absence of, yes. Keep tp in the lav to address this. The quick wipe to address this still saves a ton of tp.
