Trump pauses tariffs for 90 days on dozens of countries, raises rate on China to 125%

  • It's worked out great so far. How'd the election work out for you?

  • If the system imposes two evil candidates or options to me, I reject the system.

Amen! I mean, .world banned me for this mindset, but no regrets. I'll never bow down and worship the duopoly like most of Lemmy does.

    Good on ya, mate!

  • Do you like the orange pi? I like the idea of it being so much cheaper and I love competition, but not sure if I wanna take the jump yet.

  • I think you are a bit lost in the thread. This article and the quote of "woke" that I'm referring to is what Maher said. He said: "‘I warned everybody about Trump, and then I warned them that I warned them about what would get him reelected, which was stupid wokeness, which is what got him reelected,’ Maher said."

I'm not sure if you are looking for a "gotcha" moment by trying to get me to say what I feel is "woke" or not "woke." But I'm not a Republican so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

I think you know what kind of policies and decisions are considered "woke." And the US let you know they aren't cool with it anymore.

What I personally consider "woke" doesn't matter. I didn't vote for Trump or Harris. I voted third party, friend.

And knowing how everything turned out, I'd STILL vote third party. Happily.

    Thanks! :)

  • If you don't know about the controversies of being "woke" or not, then there's not much I can do to help. Thanks.

  • I actually think both Maher and Cryer have good points.

And no, not all republicans hate black women and trans people. There are black women who are republicans and there are trans people who are republicans.

The election shows that. Dems, and Lemmy, are clueless to that. Now they are learning the hard lesson of it.

  • Yes, I do. And I think Lemmy needs to come to terms with it.

It's not just Republicans that are tired of "woke policies." The election shows that. Lemmy and Reddit are just huge echo-chambers on the subject. People from both sides of the aisle are sick of the woke BS.
