What's an aspect of life that's currently done privately that you think should be communalized?
  • You do realize a significant portion of the internet is porn, right? There is no world in which everyone has to go to a communal public building for their pornography consumption that I'd be happy with.

What was the worst book you’ve ever read?
  • Probably not the worst I ever read, but whenever a question such as this comes up my mind immediately goes to one of the Tarot books by Piers Anthony. I don't remember which one, it was just in a pile of books people left in a dorm one time and I had nothing to read. I finished it, but I can't tell you anything about it other than the vague recollection that I hated it.

    Has to be the manor
  • I'd jump around between both fish, castle and beach depending on what I was feeling at the time.

    Also my knees hurt.

Whats an unethical or dangerous experiment that you would like to see performed or perform (if it werent for the ethics/danger)
  • I silently lament that this experiment cannot be done at least once every couple weeks. I think it would be the most fascinating experiment to observe. Watching a new language develop naturally in real time!

Fellow MSTies, what is your all-time favorite episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000?
  • I will also say it's hard to choose. I suppose it really depends on my mood or feelings at the time. However that being said, Pod People is the most memorable to me, followed extremely closely by Cavé Dwellers.

    Blood Meal
  • Even honey isn't okay with some (I have no idea the %, could be most or just a small number) of vegans. So regardless of how the blood was obtained, there is at least some who would not consider it vegan.

    Bitches with degrees
  • I mean, it doesn't take a degree to know 365 x 100 = 36,500 and not 365,000.

But I guess she isn't saying that you need a degree to know that.

What's the most petty/pointless/pedantic hill you're willing to die on?
  • What do you use as a thousands separator then?

I'm mostly unfamiliar with different systems than the standard comma for thousands and period for decimal. I've seen period used for thousands before, but in that case how does one differentiate between a thousands period and a decimal period?

Donut Shop Worker Refuses to Be on Camera with JD Vance During Campaign Stop
  • Not a fan of Bush or the GOP but the Wikipedia article basically refutes that he was flummoxed...

Whereas here Mr. Vance's cringe is kind of palpable.

What was the last movie you watched?
  • National Lampoon's Senior Trip.

I watched Jeremy Renner's wired auto complete interview on YouTube and he mentioned that was his first role. So I looked it up and it had 0% on rotten tomatoes. And I thought to myself, it can't be that bad.

It was pretty bad, maybe not 0% bad, but I found very few redeeming qualities.

    I would not recommend.

    I'm confused
  • I don't think you're really making any Americans feel bad, we're pretty good at doing that all by ourselves. Also I'm sure plenty of people would like to leave, they just can't for a variety of reasons. Money and very strict immigration rules (of other countries) being the top two but they've already been mentioned. It's also very difficult to leave your family and move somewhere where you know virtually no one for a lot of people, even if they meet the previous requirements.
