‘Stop the price-gouging’: Biden hits corporations over high consumer costs
  • Well I am glad he finally said something but it's too little too late. How many more suicides were there this year in the US versus say, 2019? I'll bet those numbers have experienced inflation. All so Walmarts stock can go up by a dollar.

    Spotify re-invented the radio
  • Spotify app sucks in the sense that they keep refining their UI to reduce the number of buttons on the bottom of the screen. When it first started they were five, then after a while there became four. I got used to where everything was, so of course with the recent update there now three so I have no freaking idea what is what.

What has been the biggest surprise about getting older?
  • Yup. Turning 40 next month. Was having some terrible headaches and neck pain. Low-impact cardio really helps with all of that. Also making sure you sleep well and have pillows that contour to your neck.

Saw a news story people about people getting arrested for at Wal-Mart for forgeting to scan one item
  • Or better yet actually have a more than a couple cashiers after 10:00 p.m. Walmarts are massive stores they're not Buffalo wild wings or IHOP... You can't run the whole place on one person. Needle dicks

Reddit censors story on Starlink losing over 300 satellites after it jumps to #2 overall for r/worldnews
  • It was probably just cause the OP didn't comment the word "cockleburrs" into the thread within 30 minutes of posting, which as you all know is an egregious violation of rule #15.

‘Unconscionable’: Baby boomers are becoming homeless at a rate ‘not seen since the Great Depression’ — here’s what’s driving this terrible trend
  • Maybe I'm dumb for not lumping an entire generation of people into this huge group of bad actors who intentionally and maliciously hurt all subsequent generations.

The issue is money. What part of "people don't have money" is so hard to digest?

The disparity has become much much wider over the years, and that is the issue.

Your Fitbit is useless – unless you consent to unlawful data sharing
  • Lol. They weren't all mine. I bought one for wife, a couple more for wife's family. They didn't all die at once, each lasted about a year and I'd replace them until I was like... wait a minute

Your Fitbit is useless – unless you consent to unlawful data sharing
  • I have owned probably a dozen Fitbits over the years.

Not coincidentally, I own a dozen dead Fitbits.

Honestly you are better off buying the cheapest Chinese product on Amazon. Fitbits are pure fucking diarrhea in wearable form, and I eagerly await the class action lawsuit.

Definitely Do Not Put Plastic in the Microwave
  • I never put this kind of plastic on the microwave. But I also worry about paper plates, which have some kind of polyethylene coating that is really really hard to find any info about online. Ive fucking eaten cheese that has been boiled on a "paper" plate, only to find that those plates were coated in some kind of polymer.

By the way, the insides of aluminum cans are coated in plastic.

    Sweet dreams!
