To anyone who is not familiar with the situation, please read our previous post [https://ani.social/post/863176] for context. Please do not say anything hateful toward the concerned instances’ admins. — ## What happened? A few hours ago, Lemmy.World and lemmy.dbzer0.com has defederated from ani.soci...
The comments section is ultimate drama. 😹😹
Copied from https://discuss.tchncs.de/post/5719708 :

It can be Lemmy, Mastodon, Peertube, anything Fediverse-related!
Okay I edit it
Sorry I only copied the title
The poster was banned for trolling but I saw a comment showing that it is real.

#### https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/freemediaheckyeah [https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/freemediaheckyeah] Sorry if this is disappointing to any of you, but we have so few members here now, and so much stuff is still broken, that we don’t feel as though continuing is worth it. However, /r/Piracy has their own...
How does moderation work this way?
That is a reallu good idea.
Something like Google Graveyard: https://killedbygoogle.com/ for everyone's reference.
Is there a website that shows a list of dead instances and how long they were alive and why they died? I think that would be a cool website. It could be for Lemmy, Kbin, Mastodon, and everywhere else in the Fediverse!
Oh I liked this one. I wonder what happened.
After a thread was made in !support@lemmy.world asking to defederate from lemmy.dbzer0.com for "the facilitation of piracy, and copyright infringement in general which is illegal", the admins of lemmy.world deleted it prompting discussions on !asklemmy[@]lemmy.ml and !piracy[@]lemmy.dbzer0.com.
I wish they stayed longer or given notice if they're disappearing.
It's confusing for me 😅 but I will try.
Nice!
That's nice!
I don't know. My friend was in another instance and he said it's gone now and went back to Reddit.
Somewhere in a little island in Asia 😉
Thanks for the tutorial! I might try but it looks hard. 🤔
I had an account on lemmy.one and now the instance has been down for a day or two so I made this new account. I also heard other small instances are dead or disappeared.
So which ones do you think will actually stick around for a long time?
ALSO, does anyone know how to get my subscriptions from lemmy.one and import it here? TIA!
