  • Those who are interested in the show may want to consider tracking down the David Mack comic run where the character made its debut. It has great art and character-driven writing, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/139996.Daredevil_Vol_8.

  • I’ve been really enjoying this series so far. Great art and Wolverine/Predator action. Anyone else enjoying it?

New live Action pictures for Zuko, Iroh, Zhao, Ozai and Azula (Netflix adaption)
  • Thanks for sharing the link! Pictures are one thing, a good script and acting are another. We’ll see. Visually, the roles appear to be well cast. However, I’m still more excited about the coming sequel cartoon movie helmed by the original creators than the Netflix series. I’ll happily watch the latter though if reviews are positive. Still somewhat skeptical since the OG creators left the show.

  • Hi! Thanks to the devs for their great work with this app. I've enjoyed using it as my primary since the latest update. I was wondering if there are plans to implement different theme (highlight) colors instead of the standard blue. I like the blue just fine, but would sure love other options to choose from like Lemmy's mint green. I imagine other users would welcome this option as well. Thanks for the consideration! ✌️ 🙂

“Eucatastrophe”: Tolkien on the secret to a good fairy tale
  • Thanks for sharing. Hope and despair are a choice. One that can be drastically easier to make based on the environment in which they live. Those of us who can more easily choose hope can also offer it to those in need of it through our words and actions. LotR may have been Tolkien trying to create hope for himself. In doing so, he created a work that can also offer hope to others in dark times.

  • Well said. It was 'whelming' and Thrawn just didn't quite get the portrayal that the character deserved. I don't fault the actor as much as the season's plotting and writing. The character came off as a strategist, but not to the same level as a Lex Luthor of the Star Wars universe in terms of intellect and strategy. I'll keep an open mind though and hope future storylines address some of these concerns. Andor, Rogue One and peak-level Mandalorian remain the best of Star Wars TV/movies for the last decade or so in my opinion.

  • Ahsoka = C+. Zahn’s novel trilogy it is not. Not even close in terms of quality or narrative. Not a single ‘wow’ or ‘woah’ moment. Some ‘that’s kinda cool’ moments. It has some good lightsaber action and Ahsoka and Baylon are cool characters but the show suffers from questionable plotting and dialogue, slow pacing, underutilization of Thrawn as an antagonist and a requirement to be familiar with Rebels to understand most of it. It would have been better as a 2–3 hour movie. At least Andor S2 is yet to come. Oh and…Zombie stormtroopers? Really?!?

Honda previews its first electric SUV arriving in 2024 with estimated range, pricing
  • As the owner of a 2002 Honda CR-V, I really want to be intrigued by this car. Since I want the next car purchase to hopefully be for a vehicle that would be kept for another long haul, I think it’s worth waiting until 2025 or 2026 to see what Honda’s own engineered EVs will look like. They will also probably have NACS as well. I’m sure the Prologue will get a lot of buyers though as they enter the EV space.

  • I thought it was an ok episode. Much like I think the show has been ok. The finale will certainly influence my final impression. I have a feeling that I will see the show similarly to how I saw Kenobi, which was a mixed bag of highs and lows that would have been better served by being a focused 2–3 hour film instead of a several hour season. Andor and peak Mandalorian this show is not.

The Lord of the Rings extended editions are infamous for their vast length. The fantasy movies come in at over 11 hours. But, they still aren't long enough.

    Lol! I'm inclined to agree.
