Ok, I think I get it: customize per-user the sorting of posts and comments when you visit their profile, just like we already do for communities. That is an interesting feature too!
User tagging is a super interesting feature, if it can be useful to someone it could be implemented in Raccoon too.
Can I ask what you mean by "post/comment sorting": how could it be improved?
Elections? No need for them after the surveillance system is up and running!
Maybe I'm too old (in my late 30) but I tend to be quite cynical. No good has come and the worst part has yet to come.
You are talking to an Italian, we have literal fas*ists leading the government and taking revenge for having been marginalized for the last 75 years so I can not judge other countries in any way.
I thank people replying to my comment because some insights were mind-opening. Unfortunately I think that if we are at this point (in southern and eastern Europe), most policies of the last years have been wrong. People are sick and tired of it.
The real underlying question is: did the EU expand eastwards too soon?
Thanks to you for the appreciation and for using the app, it really means a lot to me. I love Lemmy and I am really glad if I've managed to contribute even a tiny little bit to make this place nice for us all. This journey has made me grow as an individual (more than as a developer), I received a lot in terms of support, help, new friends, etc. and I hope to be able to give it back to the community.
Ahah correct! Each time an Italian hears about an "ugly car" the Duna is the first thing that comes to their mind. It must be wired in our brains.
Multi-communities? Really? 😍
Since I worked on a Mastodon client, I know that there is a hide_collections
parameter in the account settings which allows you to not disclose publicly your followers and following.
It's in the PATCH v1/accounts/update_credentials
API request body, see documentation here.
Out of the frying pan into the fire? Another corrupt christian neoliberal, "without eastern influences" only until the wind changes? I doubt this is good news at all.
Feel you bro. Been there (and probably "about to be there soon") too.
Yes, the main fork (which was up-to-date with the latest changes) was moved to an organization co-owned by the same 2 people and it is being maintained in continuity with the same goals and spirit.
I'm Italian and just seeing Prodi's face (a picture of him 30 years ago btw) makes me sick. Don't worry guys, he has been never accurate in anything and literally lied to the nation in multiple occasions, so rest assured his words will never become true.
Italians are second only to Germans at mass deportations so he's learning from some of the top performers out there. Good job!
It's unlikely that any dev "kills" his work after being so committed to it and leaves users, whom he knew almost one by one, with a handful of dust.
This fork is the new official one. A new community has been created recently to replace the old one too.
We are planning to release a new version, at least on GitHub asap. The announcement is likely to be given in tomorrow's Q&A session (the monthly AMA).
