Using chromium based browsers keeps power over web standards and such in google's hands, i.e enforces their ever growing monopoly. So if you want a competitive/fair environment on the web, it's best to avoid them altogether and stick to firefox or safari.
When my partner shows me their feed on tiktok, we've run into quite a few folks trying to do community outreach through it. Can't say I'm a big fan of the app, but given how popular it is, I'm glad there are scientists who are trying to put out some decent information on it.
I am! For me, the aesthetic is 95% the point of Anderson's movies. I find that he's at his best when he pairs his visuals with a fun adventure, like in The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Isle of Dogs. So I hope he goes back to that with Asteroid City, because I didn't find last year's release that enjoyable.
A Desolation Called Peace by Arkady Martine.
I really loved the first book in the series, A Memory Called Empire, but I find the second one harder to get through. The writing really gets into the protagonist's head, and with all the stress she's in, it gets... claustrophobic, I guess, for me. I wish there was a bit more focus on the plot about the cool mysterious aliens.
