What lesser known free and open source software do you use daily to improve your life?
  • Actually you're kinda right, their own license doesn't allow commercial redistribution (kinda similar with CC:NC) which make them not open source. I personally have no problems with that though.

Help me choose a distro, please!
  • I can't recommend enough EndeavourOS. It has a very good defaults and its softwares is very up-to-date since it's based on Arch Linux. Their community is also very nice.

Of course you can try Arch Linux too, it's minimalistic and you have to configure most thing yourself. It's not really hard, but gonna take some time.

Fedora and Linux Mint is also a very good choice.

  • It's around the same for me, altough windows is slightly better when battery saver is activated (hp pavilion 14 with an i7 1255u, windows 11 and fedora 38)
