Do y'all use "apps" or just the mobile version of websites?
  • Websites wherever possible.

I will fight the dark patterns trying to manipulate me into using the app also.

If I cannot do anything without the app I will not use said service.

Did someone actually quit smoking after using a vape?
  • Yes.

I flip flopped until I found a good vape. Then one day I lit a cigarette but wanted the vape afterwards.

    That was my last cigarette

"Images of 'Saint Luigi Mangione, The patron saint of health care justice' have been making rounds on social media"
  • Agreed. I always wondered how two different backpacks came into the picture.

And it would explain the drones in the tristate as they could be useful for finding the suspect.

    Switched to Linux in December
  • I cannot deny that haha.

The options have pros and cons. Butnit can definitely be overwhelming to new users.

It's frustrating that many intermediate users get elitist and recommend more advanced distros to beginners as well.

  • Ahh, mints on a slower release cycle. I know a popular starter distro but I personally wouldn't recommend it for starters looking to game.

If you're ever open to trying again, Bazzite and Nobara are gaming focused and have a better nvidia experience out of the box.

  • Yes but then you also have to wait for steam and it's games to update.

I can see a full hour being lost to updates if it's been long enough

Just because you paid for insurance doesn't mean you should get it
  • So well worded. I struggle to get this concept out when discussing the concern about grocery prices and why homesteading / community gardens are the only protection we can reasonably have right now

Fellow Americans, how do you deal with the day to day knowing this capitalist hellhole system is absolutely rigged against us?
  • Preparing myself for the world Titor predicted. Small communities.

Learning to homestead as best I can as a renter. Lots of raised beds and planter bags.

I only buy things to support my hobbies. Saving up for land and a prefab home so I can go completely independent.

I don't want to worry if critical food gets expensive again.
