  • So their own membership in the group you spoke for doesn’t matter to the question of weather it’s acceptable to oppose a genocide when faced with violence against oneself?

    That’s pretty absurd.

It’s also pretty absurd to imply that a trans person is transphobic because they oppose genocide.

  • If the democrats need my vote then they can adopt the platforms and policies I vote for.

    Simple as.

I swear to god it really seems like you’re doing the most insane mental gymnastics to justify voting for a genocide.

  • Did you see the piece of paper with their name and the date?

If so do you see what you’ve done? You’ve accepted a priori your assessment that they’re an astroturfing Russian bot and dismissed evidence to the contrary.

What would prove to you that there’s a real person who is who they say they are on the other side?

  • So if the democrats will always choose to shift to the right as opposed to the left then how is the left spoiling anything?

What you’re suggesting is that the American left should follow the democrats to the right. How’s that worked out in the past?

  • My psl vote doesn’t help trump win. I know that because it doesn’t get counted for trump.

I would not have voted for the democrats.

I havent voted for a democrat at the national level after Obama 08.

If there was any indication that Harris would have a different policy on Gaza than the Biden administration she’d have a good opportunity to break my streak.

It would probably be a good idea not to make an argument about morality that tries to condemn voting for a candidate opposed to genocide.

I’ve seen a lot of strategic arguments for Harris, but never a moral one.

  • If the democrats lose because of the spoiler effect you describe, do you think they’ll try to take on the positions of the party that they “lost” the most votes to?

Spoiler effect is fake and made up, but for the purposes of your belief that it’s real, will one or the other major party try to court third party voters in the case that they believe themselves to have been harmed by it?

  • Oh hey! Nice to see you!

Psl is on the ballot in 20 states, you’re right, and it would be 22 if they weren’t pushed off or invalidated in Georgia and Pennsylvania.

But they’re allowed write in candidates in 23 states and that gives them a possible 464 electoral votes. More than enough to win!

Write in ballots are counted. I know because I’ve worked elections and seen the process where they’re added to a tally.

I will take an inexperienced candidate over one in favor of genocide any day.

De la Cruz has made a commitment to end the genocide which is a fundamental part of the psl platform in 2024 and has a plan to use executive power to end the genocide. Even if I wasn’t a booster of psl already that would go a long way towards earning my vote.

To anyone reading this: feel free to congratulate me, because I just earned your attention!

  • Are you accusing them of being a bot or suggesting they’re not trans here?

It kinda seems like you’re suggesting that they’re either not human or not trans there at the end.

The only other way I can read it is you calling them liberal as a pejorative (which is a great own to commies by the way) but it’s hard to assume that’s the intent.

  • I voted party for socialism and liberation and you can too!

They’re running Claudia de la Cruz on a platform of Palestinian statehood and an end to arms shipments to israel.

If you never asked Harris to dazzle you, only to show even the smallest sign of intent to end the genocide she’s party to, why not vote for a candidate that has consistently been anti genocide this whole time!

    Starlabs; good support long term?
  • When was the last 4yr window on a computer? I think the ati 2011 15” mbp got dropped fast af but thats the last real short one I remember. I haven’t dealt extensively with the touchbar models though.

The m1 air looks to be another 2012 mbp 12”. It would surprise me if they cut it off at 7 years. Although that decision seems to have been driven by the enterprise install base and who knows if that’s still what it once was.

I think the reason why mobile os support windows are apples thing on computers is because they don’t have a separate business line. Iirc xps used to be dells enthusiast brand and now it’s part of the business line.

Thinking more about it, the core line of processors was a real stumble for intel because they were really good and lasted forever and manufacturers had to start pushing updates to fix realtek and qualcomm chip problems or get blamed for shit not working or being supported.

Also, this is kinda tangential because the op is asking about firmware support and hardware availability and firmware support is not as important on macs and they have incredible second hand hardware markets.

  • That’s very funny.

But if youre not trolling and you actually think that I’m trolling on a .world comm it’s probably a good idea to have more than pithy replies.

If you really think I’m trolling when I scroll down through active/all, see something that I’m the subject of and reply then you should be reporting me and not making snarky comments.

Especially when I engage with the things you say directly.

It makes you seem like the person acting in bad faith when you do that. It makes you seem like the unserious troll.

I’ve got to be mistaken though, right?

How did you come to the conclusion that I’m a troll?

  • I agree with you though that I probably won’t be posting in the political memes community after the elections.

I browse by active/all and aside from the predictable ones blaming a Harris loss on the left I don’t think the community really interests me.

The only reason you see me here now is because in active/all there are a bunch of posts blaming me and people like me for the democrats failings or shaming us or our votes.

Once that goes away I probably will too.

And you’re right that people will probably be happy about it. No one likes to be confronted with the irrefutable fact that they are supporting genocide.

That really bugs me. This whole presidential election cycle has been pretty scary to be honest. I can’t imagine a scenario where Harris wins and her party decides to abandon the deportations, war, protest suppression, border wall and genocide that got them there.

  • What stops the president from not sending weapons to israel by executive order? What stops the president from conditioning aid or stepping in when congress tries to send weapons to aid a genocide in contravention of domestic and international law?

We know what stops Biden and what would stop Harris: they support the genocide.

Rather than waving your hands and saying “politics”, why not examine why a president in the party opposite the democrats was able to stop israel almost 45 years ago.

The democrats of today seem to be to the right of Reagan in this matter.

Thinking about making the switch and need some advice.
  • It literally doesn’t matter.

There are differences, but for what you’re talking about they don’t matter.

The only thing that should sway you is if you have a person who is willing to help you in person or like over the phone or text or whatever (basically not yelling into the internet void for help) then you should use what they know.
