Nonexistent moderation on Beehaw /c/neurodivergence
  • Not capitalising your pronouns isn't misgendering. Even if you're serious, I have no interest in conversing with you. I'm just going to assume you're a troll and block. Get over yourself or be prepared to be blocked by more people.

Family whose roof was damaged by space debris files claims against NASA
  • I love space stuff and NASA (one of the few truly great things about the US) but they really shouldn't be yeeting things into orbit and hoping it takes care of itself.

    Nonexistent moderation on Beehaw /c/neurodivergence
  • I don't know about the moderation but the "negativity" is because your take on narcissism being an ableist slur is nonsense. I can't tell if you're actually seriously deluded or just a very commited troll. You're not going to find much traction getting people to feel sorry for narcissists, especially Trump. But hey, maybe you can go to Truth Social, I'm sure this would play well. You can tell all the fascists how intolerant the left is.

And you shouldn't be allowed anywhere near moderation.

    thoughts on arpgs?
  • They can be fun for a bit. I tend to get overwhelmed with all the crap I loot. I have the same problem with games like The Elder Scrolls series. I'm alway afraid I'll accidentally sell something important or useful, but I usually end up with a lot of junk. Lol

    what's your current linux distro?
  • If you like or need the latest software, use a rolling distro. I use Manjaro (boo, hiss) and really like it. But if you don't want the Arch users to beat you up and pants you, I hear Endeavour OS is pretty good.

  • Idk, I've blazed many times but never felt the need to constantly lie. That's a him problem, not a cannabis problem. However, I do think you make a good point about Transformers. He has the mind of a child stuck in the 80s. The future is Transformers, RoboCop, Bladerunner, Total Recall, etc., to him, anyway.

  • I don't know where else to put this. I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place and will move it if it's not appropriate here.

Every time I read anything from so-called solarpunks, it reads like slightly left of centre ravings of doomsday preppers. They seem to love many of the same fascist talking points. For example, individualism self-sufficiency , which sounds a lot like the frontier cowboy fantasies of right-wing nutters. They promote what essentially is subsistence farming, which is a terrible way to live. There's a reason this kind of shit leads to famine in developing countries. An almost enthusiastic fantasy surrounding primitism and the loss of technology. There are so many issues, I could go on. Unless I'm missing something (possible) I don't see much appealing about solarpunk because it seems to have a delusional nostalgia for the "good old days", much in the way conservativism does.

Is it really as crackpot as it sounds? If not, what am I missing?

There are a lot of tanky posts coming from lemmy.ml. Their whole purpose seems to be to troll and spread their bullshit far and wide. They are nearly as bad as the alt-right. They argue in bad faith and celebrate authoritarian oppression. The beehaw mods might want to consider defederating.
