Ok? This is a community for asking open ended questions. I don’t see how any of this is relevant.
You never thought to ask this question before? Makes sense. Probably because “are you ambidextrous?” Isn’t a terribly discussion-provoking question.
No… why on earth would they? And what is “asking for the civilized world” even supposed to mean?
I’m a bit surprised by this. Had you not heard anything about the game? I’m not saying I expected that but I thought it was pretty clear from the start that the game was going to be subversive
This is not the right place for your question
If your post meets the following criteria, it's welcome here!
- Open-ended question
- Not offensive: at this point, we do not have the bandwidth to moderate overtly political discussions. Assume best intent and be excellent to each other.
- Not regarding using or support for Lemmy: context, see the list of support communities and tools for finding communities below
- Not ad nauseam inducing: please make sure it is a question that would be new to most members
- An actual topic of discussion
Nice of you to google this so OP didn’t have to…
Technically they’re called “temples” and “temple tips”, but I’ve never heard anyone actually use that terminology. Usually I hear them referred to as “arms” (“handles” is a new one 😁)
I wouldn’t force Louisiana on my worst enemy. The coast is probably fine, but in deep Louisiana, I saw more trash heaps, cars on blocks, and churches than actual businesses or non-dilapidated homes
You’re fine, OP’s question isn’t terribly clear
No man’s Sky still has a heart of jank, but it undeniably has a heart
It absolutely breaks several rules. It’s not an open ended question nor is it a topic of discussion.
Why are you asking this here? This is meant more for asking about thoughts and experiences rather than tech support. You’d probably have better luck in a more technical community (or just googling it). You may still get some answers though 🤷
Wait, so you’re putting your unpaid items in the bag? I know there’s nothing inherently wrong with that but I’d be worried that someone would stop me or say something so I just hold on to mine until I check out.
then to a true finance expert, like an economist or market analyst for example.
I think you meant “than”. “More of X than X”. “Then” would be “I’m going to do this then that”
Messaging between iPhones uses iMessage and messaging between android probably uses RCS, both of which do not have the limitations of MMS, which is a limit of around 3.5 MB for most carriers. “Texting” pictures and videos from iPhone to android or vice versa will likely use MMS, hence the blurry media. Until Apple joins the party, the solution is to use another app like WhatsApp, telegram, signal, etc.

I think it’s more of a dislike for low effort fluff- just so happens that the new hotness for that kind of junk is AI
There are a significant amount of questions here that do not follow the criteria in the sidebar, especially “1. Open-ended question” and “5. An actual topic of discussion”. It seems some folks want others to do research for them, or to troubleshoot some random issue.
This bugs me. Of course, I can ignore and/or downvote those posts, and I do. However, I’m wondering if anyone else feels the same way. I’m don’t want to stifle content and discussion on such a burgeoning platform, but could we do something about this?
Perhaps we could “tag” posts in some way (I know tags aren’t officially supported yet) or maybe we could redirect folks to a sister community for non-discussion questions. Or something else?
Just throwin’ it out there. If I’m alone in this, I’ll take my lumps and quietly sit back down.
EDIT: Already seeing good points in the replies! makes sense- probably a bit too early to be sticklers about topics.
EDIT 2: Really appreciate the responses and discussion! I appreciate the discourse and also not being downvoted to oblivion 😄
FINAL EDIT: Thanks to all who commented. It’s nice to know I’m not alone, but I do accept what most (including mods) have said- cracking down on the types of questions is not a priority when the community is still growing.
