There's different ways of liking people: you don't like your mam the same way you like your friends, and you don't like your funny friend the same way you like your lover.

I have some pretty obscure interests, and the small group of local people who share my interests are from diverse backgrounds (but homogeneous in interests). Different ways of 'liking'. Shared background is one.

Some of my life-achievements involved contributing to my nation.

The relationship between the French and Haitian revolutions is interesting and complex.

Some French revolutionaries believed in Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity (but not for blacls cmon let's not go too far here!)

Then others like the Societé des Amis des Noirs felt that liberation had to include ending slavery too.

France abolished slavery throughout its empire in 1794, and the Haitian revolution in its last phase 1801-1803 was really against the Napoleonic counterrevolution which had reinstated slavery in Guadeloupe. The Haitians feared he'd do the same there.

Lots of libertarians critique both markets and the state (e.g. Murray Bookchin or Nestor Makhno).

The defining feature is just a critique of state power.

You have your timeline muddled. The Palestinian Authority have been working with Israel since '93. They killed Nizar Banat for speaking against them in 2021.
