Starmer facing more frontbench resignations if Gaza policy does not change
  • What a stupid shit show this all is. Isreal and Hamas aren’t going to be like “well guys Jess Phillips says we should stop killing each other so let’s chill out.”

The whole vote on calling for a ceasefire is idiotic, and it’s even more idiotic that Starmer imposed the whip. Labour getting bogged down in ideological purity bullshit yet again.

Suella Braverman sacked as home secretary
  • I feel the same about Theresa May, she did a really good interview on the Leading podcast with Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart and really put across that she believes in what she’s doing, even if she’s completely and utterly wrong and was an absolutely terrible Home Secretary and prime minister (remember strong and stable, lol.)

I kind of respect her for standing by her convictions, and would rather have her back than pig fucker Cameron and the rest

Rishi Sunak facing right-wing backlash for sacking Suella Braverman and appointing David Cameron
  • I found out from the rest is politics podcast that she’s a Buddhist, Erasmus scholar and previously worked alongside Cherie Blair on the Africa Justice Foundation.

It just seems like such a paradox, and maybe it is just a ploy to appeal to the far right lunatics in the Conservative Party in order to become leader one day.

World's largest carbon emitter set to shatter wind and solar power targets | CNN Video
  • Exactly, here I am in the UK and just this morning the prime minister announced a roll back on the pledges for onshore wind because they want to appeal to the NIMBY’s. Does my head in.

World's largest carbon emitter set to shatter wind and solar power targets | CNN Video
  • The sheer scale of the China industrial complex equal parts impresses and scares me, but nevertheless this is a huge achievement.

It’s always quite interesting that western governments like to try and lay blame at China’s door (despite the US still being the largest historical carbon emitter) but here they are shattering renewable energy records. We need other governments to do this sort of thing.
