  • I have been using Wrye Bash on Oblivion. Not sure what your system is like but I'm on Arch and using a slightly older version of WINE and made a bottle for Oblivion. Just run WB under the bottle. I have the GoG version of Oblivion so not sure if that matters.

You have nothing to lose but time, and if you learn something in the process (i.e. those tricky looking joints you mentioned) then you are ahead no matter what.

  • You're question sounds like you are running the wires. They make numbered stickers specifically for marking long pulls of wire so you don't have to test them.
