Aus Interesse mal wieder auf reddit reingeschaut was die Kommentare so sagen, aber der gesamte Thread wurde einfach von den Mods gelöscht mit der Erklärung

Da die bisherigen Kommentare (mal wieder) unter Beweis stellen, dass ein nicht unerheblicher Teil unser Kommentierenden das Prinzip "Man kann auch einfach mal gar nichts sagen anstatt geschmackloses zu sagen" nicht ganz verinnerlicht haben, ist hier zu.

Not to take all the credit, but a factor might be that I, as the top mod of the second largest German Subreddit, promoted Lemmy heavily to the point where the admins banned me "for breaking reddit".

You can use Socks5 on top of your existing connection. Some don't even require authentication, just being connected to your regular VPN is enough.

Always bind your torrent client to the VPN interface and use Socks5 if possible. I've been torrenting on Linux this way (albeit with a different provider) for the better half of my life and it hasn't failed me once.

I imagine a lot of indie games can't really afford to pay or commission artists but still want to have a product that looks presentable. I know someone who does mostly programming but is now considering being a solo dev on a game because generative AI enables him to do it alone.

There definitely exists a spectrum between shovelware, large studios being too cheap to pay actual artists and indie devs having little to no other options.
