'It's What's Inside' trailer - Netflix horror movie looks like this year's 'Talk to Me'
  • Hadn't heard of this until now and definitely going to watch next month. Have really been enjoying the well done horror films that have been coming our the last 2-3 years. Especially Barbarian and Talk to Me.

  • She could have but that should be the moderator's or platforms job, which they did attempt for about 1/184th of the lies. She did all she needed to do very well

    Server Access Log Admin Dashboard?
  • Kibana/ES is overkill and not worth it. I have Loki, promtail and grafana setup for my 4 VMs and 2 systems. Took about a week to get dashboards and stuff going (plus geoip and worldmap plugin config for my public servers) but haven't had to touch them in about 2 years since.

How can I keep my forwarded port secure?
  • I had it open for a web server for 2.5 years because I was lazy and my IP changed a lot and I traveled and didn't have a VPN setup and never had any issues as far as I could tell. Disabled password and root auth but was also fine with wiping that server if there were issues. It's certainly not recommended but isn't immediately always going to be an issue

    Roma welcomes Mats Hummels
  • Great signing for Roma, he showed last season he's still serviceable at the top level and even more so. He was great in the latter half of Dortmund's season but who knows how much longer he'll be able to keep that level up

UDM Pro or PFsense and why?
  • I have a UDMPro I got 2 years ago i believe. Had a netgate SG3100 with PFsense for 6 years before that until the sg3100 hardware and support went EOL. Was happy with both but went with the UDMPro to be able to support the camera systems and was comparable to another netgate device but was about $100 cheaper with a $50 promo. I mostly use it locally and via app at some points.

Just within the last 2 years the UDMs finally got equivalent features to my setup with PFsense. Wireguard and per port GeoIP restrictions and logging were the most used features on my PFsense that from videos and forums didn't seem like it was added to unifi stuff until just the last couple years.

Nothing 2/2a - what do I lose if I get one?
  • I'm typing this from a Nothing 2 that I've had for almost a year. Don't think there's anything large I'm missing, almost a direct replacement from my Samsung S20 I had before meaning no SD card, no IR, etc on either. Maybe the main thing missing which I probably could recreate with other apps is Goodlock and it's configurable gestures for edge of the screen but I've unlearned those macros and am fine.

What do you think about Denis Villeneuve's "Dune"?
  • First time I watched it in theaters I hadn't read anything Dune and honestly hated it because I had no idea what was going on or who people were or why they were involved. After reading the first book and learning more about spice, the spacing guild, the witch covenant and going back in I freaking loved it. Same with my wife who isn't usually the biggest SciFi person, took her 3 watches but she loves the universe and the music.

'The Crow' reboot was 16 years in the making. It's finally out, and critics say it's 'tedious' and 'unfathomably awful.'
  • Wife and I accidentally watched the sequel a few months ago, she was surprised I had never heard of the crow and I kinda had difficulty finding it on streaming. Watched the sequel first because it had been 15 years since she's seen it she thought that was it. Watching both close together I thought the sequel had a better overall story but production, budget and acting were all severely worse but enjoyed both.

Man City case casts inevitable shadow over Premier League’s return
  • Wonder if they're even going to come to a decision before the end of the season. Want their cash cow to perform for TV and in Europe before deciding. Also the league table has felt like a joke the last 2 seasons with VAR implementation and reffing decisions so this isn't a change in the status quo.

A look at Girona in 24/25.
  • Thanks for the write up, their CL matches this season won't be easy but hoping they can do well across all comps.

I noticed Krejci in last seasons UEL and looked up his stats which are insane for a CB albeit in the Czech league. Didn't notice until browsing matches yesterday that he went to a different team.

[Nottingham Forest] Three extremely poor decisions - three penalties not given - which we simply cannot accept. We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times. NFFC will now consider its options.
