Well damn, good thing they rejected my application last month
I really enjoyed it, the random pop culture references didn't really feel natural to me, but you could say it makes sense in the context of the characters. Definitely excited to see where the sequel goes.
Congratulations! As someone who recently moved, finding friends has been rough, but my partner has had good success using bumble's friend section if that's something you are worried about.
I like it but definitely miss some of the more niche subreddits that I followed back on reddit, but hopefully those come over as Lemmy grows.
I got into IT because it just seemed right for me being a tech nerd growing up, I do wish I would have taken a gap year or something after High school because I really don't like the work but it pays really well... So kind of stuck in it and pivoting to trying to find jobs within IT that I can just coast at that's also low stress so I can focus on myself and hobbies.
I think the game is really solid, the base game was probably the best base game experience for any borderlands game imo. It's definitely worth $20, chaos chambers are a ton of fun. My complaint is the dlcs were very lackluster and with them constantly raising the max chaos level, it killed the good build diversity that the game had at launch.
I'm pretty happy just using Lemmy and discord, I deleted Twitter and reddit because of recent events, it's definitely helped keeping my screen time down and discord typically leads to more fulfilling conversations imo
