  • Sure, boomers might not think about using an app to order fast food, but I would think anyone who cares about privacy also avoids restaurant apps.

  • You know, you're not going to get very far in any conversation when you just keep saying "he's unelectable now" over and over.

I wish there were more articles about tech not tech biz
  • IMO it's not the "switch to Linux" sentiment itself that's so tedious, it's that it's just so damn oversaturated. It's like that guy who posted "if buying isn't ownership then piracy isn't stealing" like 20 times in one thread the other day. I 100% agree but OMG we get it, kindly stop saying the same damn thing over and over. It's just annoying that every post even mentioning Microsoft or Google devolves into a sea of privacy complaints and FOSS evangelizing to the point it's difficult to have any real conversations.

Question about gdscript: Which is more efficient?
  • I'm with you. "Measure it yourself" is a bit of a non-answer. Sure, being able to measure things yourself is also a useful skill, but asking questions and having people with experience answer them is largely the point of places like this.

  • There is a disturbing amount of "but mah data" pearl clutching by a lot of very ignorant people in this thread.

I'm looking for games that make me feel small and insignificant
  • Came in to say Elite as well. Unfortunately I personally find the gameplay to be way too grindy and uninteresting to "progress". But in a way progress is somewhat irrelevant in Elite. I found a carrier hosting a tour of the galaxy and had an amazing time in my crappy little ship just looking at things. Few games do scale better then Elite.
