But the Fediverse will be different. For example, instead of having one giant Politics community, we have two: politics@lemmy.world and politics@lemmy.ml, each with its own moderation style that has to respect the rules of its instance.

I think that's a lot healthier than having one giant Politics subreddit where it's hard to get involved because of the size and the immaturity of the people.

It reminds me of Google back in the day (probably early 2010s). If you searched for White Women, it returned professional and respectable images. But if you searched for Black Women, it returned explicit images.

If you look at the structure of the BBC, it's an INDEPENDENT, publicly funded news organisation. The government has no say in its editorial. It has exposed many British government scandals in the past.
