  • I wouldn't say notably better than K2, but I think it feels slightly more moisturizing, with a bit better post-shave feel.

    Happy New Year!

    Prep: Neutrogena glycerin soap

    Brush: Shavemac silvertip D01 3-band

Lather: Trufitt & Hill Grafton shave cream

    Razor: Tatara Masamune

    Blade: Personna med prep

Post: Ariana & Evans Emerald Moss splash

    Tunes: Grant Green - Matador

2nd shave with my new brush. Holy crap, this thing is great! Builds a rich, creamy lather in just seconds, and puts it on so smooth and soft. Highly recommended.

What's the oldest piece of tech you still have running?
  • A 1930's Remington mechanical typewriter. My dad used it regularly until he passed away, it still works perfectly and I've got a whole box of ribbons for it.

in your opinion, what's a single bad song that ruins an otherwise great album?
  • Couldn't agree more, that tune is cringe-inducing. A perfect example of the rule that your kids are always cuter to you than to anyone else.

To me, "Parade" on that album is also a turkey.

Can you drive a manual transmission?
  • Yes. I'm in my mid 40's, in the Midwest US. I drove manuals almost exclusively from when I was a teen until last year, when I bought an EV.

Toyota claims battery breakthrough in potential boost for electric cars
  • Even if the power load on the grid was doable, heat dissipation is also a huge problem. Current DC fast chargers max out at 350 kW (in theory, my car supports charging at that rate but the best I've seen in real life is around 190kW), and the liquid-cooled cables are already heavy/bulky enough to give some women and older folks a hard time. I can't imagine a practical way to handle 2 or 3 times the current without making the cables something like 6 inches in diameter and weighing a couple hundred pounds.
