well its all dependent on negotiating power of the union to cost the company profits if they strike and the trust in union that the company will not violate any contract they sign. The whole thing is dependent on the ability of the union to effectively strike and it doesnt always work and companies are willing to take a loss sometimes
lack of mass production probably and cuthroat capitalism. the expensive bikes cater to a niche of bike riders who the business knows can afford to buy them. a lot of these bikes have specialized parts made in specialized countries by craftspeople which up the price of production and in addition they offer some kind of free maintenance you are also buying. the real question is why are cars and other bike so cheap, and thats because of mass production factories and cheap manufacturing methods and economies of scale
sounds like a publicity stunt gone wrong

woudl be great if someone would conduct a proper survey in certain areas and populations that survey peopel who have actually "hooked up" via hook up apps so we can finally set the record straight
This all depends if people feel harassed via social media, texts, photos, etc. Its a matter of perspective, for people who have mainly experienced social interaction through social media, then yes the harassment feeling is much higher.
I think it turned a lot of women into players too, because they had incredible control moreso than every before. I remember hearing something about women who go on dates just to eat.. lolol
thats because men dating men in general is a completely different culture than women dating men or vice versa. A lot of women like to take it slow and are very cautious, but a lot of men are very direct and want instant gratification and are impatient. That's why an app was so exponential for this type of instant cavaliering gratification culture. This is the stereotype, I know not all gay men are like this....
I was attempted to be scammed by a catfish or a prostitute on facebook. I kind of felt good for a moment.....? Honestly, I dont really trust views and likes enough to connect this with psychological internal validation.
Look the problem is that is that any official actions by any government is done on paper and you may have "good" interactions or good feelings with any number of people in their governing organizations, but technically on paper they are very clear on their objectives, that is the annihilation of the state of Israel and its citizens. The question is how can you allow them to bring anything they want inside the country without supervision when it is part of their written policies in laws to use what they have available to attack another country. If they changed their constitution, that would be a first step to trust.
sorry i forgot what I wrote, I'm not a pro lemmy user and not sure how to see full comment chain. However, I likely remarked on lack of womens rights in Iran, which anyone remarking lack of womens rights in Islamic countries, is not racist, but just stating facts. Facts that I'm sure some people are upset about. I used to be friends with a woman from saudia arabia who told me personally about her trials and tribulations and trying to unsuccessfully escape the country many times.
one of those sex reports, probably about the weather

this whole focus on "luster" reminds me of the luster of the pyramids
Is it an isolated event or does it have any correlation with anything else?
