Amazon Is Boss of Subcontracted Drivers, Labor Board Prosecutors Say | Board’s prosecutors say that company violated labor law
  • Wouldn't it be great if they applied civil forfeiture to the board of directors of the company seeing as their compensation was involved with illegal activity? No new laws needed.

    Making History
  • Yes, the antifascist are the ones committing genocide even though the majority of Americans disagree so you must support very unpopular genocide to save democracy. This us all very normal and not weird at all.

End of an era: Nova Launcher's parent company lays off practically everyone
  • Oh nice, I'll check out droidify and IzzyOnDroid. To help me remember to update Lawnchair, I added the github release notes atom feed to my RSS reader and turned on notifications so I know every time a new release is ready to install and updating is just a few taps away. https://github.com/LawnchairLauncher/lawnchair/releases.atom

End of an era: Nova Launcher's parent company lays off practically everyone

DNC kicks off virtual roll call vote to formally nominate Kamala Harris for president

A manipulated video shared by Musk mimics Harris' voice, raising concerns about AI in politics
  • An old well developed technology needs to be adopted and the public needs to be educated on its use. AI cannot defeat cryptographic signatures which could be used to verify the authorship and the integrity of any digital content. I would support laws that help facilitate mass adoption of this technology. PGP is 33 years old.

FedEx’s Secretive Police Force Is Helping Cops Build An AI Car Surveillance Network
  • I found an article from when FedEx got their own police force. Its a gem. The first line reads "FedEx Corporation is waging war on crime and terrorist threats with its own army of 10 plain-clothes detective-style cops."

'There Are No Kings in America': Biden Blasts Supreme Court, Issues Dire Warning After Immunity Ruling
  • Now that the court gave the president immunity, what is preventing Biden from dissolving the court? The law no longer limits the actions the president can take.
