YouTube on TVs is cramming ads down your throat even when pausing videos
  • At first I connected the PS4 dualshock controller to the PC via bluetooth and configured it to move the cursor similarly to how the ps4 works, but the virtual keyboard on Linux Mint kept popping up and going away randomly so I bought a mini Bluetooth keyboard with a small touch pad instead.

I did also try voice commands and it worked great, but I didn't want to carry a mic around so I never really used it.

  • I used to watch on ps4, but couldn't stand the ads anymore so I bought a new PC and repurposed my old PC into a Linux TV box. Now I watch freetube on my TV with no ads and no tracking.

My friend suggested I use different names for variables..
  • Yeah, a name should describe what it is or does, so if you have two turtles, and let's say turtle1 wants to shit on turtle2's lawn, you could name them shittingTurtle and victimTurtle. If the name alone tells you what its purpose is, that saves a lot of time for people looking at your code.

Is_Turtle is not a bad variable name because it tells you it is a Boolean with "is" and that the Boolean tells you whether something is a turtle or not.

Also, depending on the language, I suggest either camelCase or snake_case naming of variables. PascalCase is usually for defining classes or in case of C#, methods.

Who else is an adult that still lives with their family?
  • I've never heard of a town or village that doesn't have at least one bus that goes to the center and off to some bigger town elsewhere. What kind of town do you live in?

Also, your family owns a car that no one can drive?

Have you tried applying for social welfare?

Sure, no one is going to offer you a place for work where you live. That's why I'm suggesting moving away from where you live. What if you moved to some place in the middle of nowhere where rent is cheap?

Who else is an adult that still lives with their family?
  • Even if you get a license, do you plan to use your parents' car?

You could apply for a job in another town entirely, and then move there after getting the job. Kill two birds with one stone. Some employers also offer apartments for their employees. It sounds like moving a bit away could do you good. You could take the bus or something to see your family every once in a while.

If you really want to live in your hometown, you could continue jobhunting in it while employed in another town.

China-linked ‘Spamouflage’ network mimics Americans online to sway US political debate
  • Have you noticed anything else strange about her lately? For example, does she claim your plate at dinner, or constantly fight with you about which part of the bathtub is her part?

That's not your sister, you might be living with Xi Jinping.

  • Whenever I see any news that portrays China in a good light (e.g. Chinese chip industry, Chinese renewables, car manufacturing, etc) I always assume it is Chinese propaganda by a bot or a shill.

Whenever I see an influencer in China, I am almost certain they've been paid to promote and have strict guidelines on what to say and not to say.

Telegram repeatedly refused to join child protection schemes
  • If they refused to hand over data that they had about individuals on a warrant, I can see how the arrest was kind of justified.

If the arrest was for refusing to install a backdoor for law enforcement to spy on anyone they want, then France needs to be kicked out of EU and sanctioned for human rights violations.
