  • It will be a while before we reach total world shaving domination 👀

  • I have very dry skin, and it seems to help with that. Other than that, at some time in the past, I fell for a greatly reduced 300ml tub of preshave, and I used it because I had it. And somehow I got used to it 🤷

I got two samples with my order from LPL, among which Bay Rum. I never tried any bay rum scented product, so I was excited! I rather enjoy the scent, though I get some slight tingeling on my face – probably not for me!

    Have a good day!

  • That is very kind of you – let me think about it. Ideally, I'd have a sausage-sauerkraut flavored soap 😜

  • Whiskey-labeled soaps who end up smelling like smoked sausages

Public service question: which one is/are these?

  • The aftershave was also unscented, except for the fact that I dumped a sample of Roman Spice into it, so it actually smells like Roman Spice.

Now that I think about it, that kind of makes sense.

I received a mail today from Le Père Lucien (4 shaving soaps and an after-shave; I will not be able to kill 4 soaps this year, I'm afraid...), and I also got a smush of his Traditionnel soap. So why not start with this one? First impressions: It provides a good and protective lather, but the smell reminded me disturbingly of a Bouquet Garni that I would put into soup.

Official scent notes: Lavender, eucalyptus, thyme, rosmary

Now that I see it, I should have listened to [*Scarborough Fair* by Simon & Garfunkel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BakWVXHSug) while shaving.

    Excellent shave with the 1912.

    Have a good evening!

  • Somehow, I woke up with razor burn on my neck that wasn’t there when I went to sleep…

Maybe tell your wife that you already shaved? 😎

The Mousse Illuminée aftershave works surprisingly well with Spiced.

Beyond octidi, it's also Zingari Zischtig. Mousse Illuminée is so good!

  • Yesterday’s peach from A&E Peach & Cognac is the exception that proves the rule

Heaving a heavy hand when it comes to scent is sometimes an advantage!

  • I learned from watching the equivalent of the Great British Bake-Off that blueberry and peach are extremely delicate aromas, and that they will be covered by almost anything else. Seems that this is true not only in pastry!

This was a test-shave for my new hone of the Parker – which worked rather well. I had used the La Lune natural stone, and it is both sharp, and comfortable.

    Have a good day!

  • You can do it (just send djunior out to play in the snow for a couple of hours)

  • Your plugin just uses org mode tables for this, right?

Yes - that's it. Unless I get a huge den, or don't rotate the logs, that should be sufficient for me. But you might just as well go for a real database!

  • Quartidi 14 Nivôse an 233 de la Révolution, jour de Grès

I got a clearly perceivable frag-burn with Famine today – which did not happen with any other of the Horsemen. Otherwise, a very good shave, despite the late hour.

    Have a good night!
