Fuck Sony overpriced crap. I'm still salty with their v2 update that damaged the battery.
Just another unimportant potatophone.
Where's the console.log('here')
? That would be the equivalent of a "you are here" on a map.
Surprise, surprise. Every update is a nag with "jump in", "this is cool", "you're missing out"... And then it's "play by my rules or GTFO".
My bootloader didn't fail. I modified my fstab without setting nofail
nor noauto
, took the laptop on the road, rebooted, and learned the hard way. ib4 RTFM.
Sorry, you might have misunderstood my point. The long processing time is "fine" if it happens at all. The issue I'm trying to bring up is that in most cases these acts end without real consequences or punishment, so any greedy newcomer repeats it.
Example of what I'd like to happen: Euro Parking contract will not be renewed, and the company will be banned for 10 years to have any contracts with TfL or any other agency.
Set precedent by law, not just a slap in the wrist, so they think twice instead of writing it off as a business expense.
OK, we have all the details, wrong doers, and corrupts. When can we expect them to be held legally accountable?
I vouch for Syncthing as well. I enabled storing in my own remote hosting provider marking it as untrusted, so my files are encrypted there.
Kindly pick up your marketing attempt and take it back to reddit.
They're not oblivious, they just don't care because they know there won't be any consequences. And those few who dare to say anything are "antisemite" for not supporting genocide.
I came just to say this. I have a Brother MFC-L2700DW that I bought in 2018. I only connect it to the power when I need to scan or to print, which it does flawlessly every single time, over WiFi, and disconnect it again. The toner is the original one that came with the printer.
Stop giving money to the ink parasites.
I'm not sure if you're referring to just the functionality of being able to pay by tapping the phone, but there's Google Pay, which does exactly that and is mostly accepted wherever apple's solution is accepted. It works in any Android phone with NFC.
The reason they put this kind of limits is to protect the income (of coming?) companies. Nobody wants pesky people growing their own stuff, but spending taxable money. Even nicer "for everybody" if the initial money comes from lobbying companies paying for the law to be favorable to them.
Just remember Sega of America accused of trying to axe 40 percent of unionized staff. Don't give your money to these shitheads.
The app is called Fennec F-Droid and is maintained by Mozilla. Just clarifying so it can be found.

There is no reason a camera cannot be on all the time... Why couldn't it?
Sensor wear, mechanical parts (if any), heat, etc. Essentially wear and tear. Just like nothing lasts forever, using it in a way that it's not intended/tested/quality assured, may reduce its lifespan.
Basically: "is the device intended to be on and recording 24/7?"
- yes: good, the device should last and perform for its purpose
- no: well, let's gamble and see how long it lasts
Glad to know. 2-3 years is a good lifetime, especially when compared against keeping the phone unused and stored in a drawer.
