I can relate. In my teens, I watched Monster's Ball with my dad and sister, and in around the same span of time I watched Mulholland Drive with my parents.
There was only one question regarding Standard Notes:
Is there an ETA for the Standard Notes implementation for Proton subscriber?
And the rep from ProtonMail replies:
Actually we're interested in the community feedback here. There was a lot of pent up demand for Proton Docs so we prioritized getting that out first and are now focused on further improving Proton Docs. Given the choice between putting resources between further improving Proton Docs or integrating Standard Notes with Proton Accounts, it's not exactly clear what is more valuable to the community. So unfortunately I don't have an answer here as we haven't internally decided yet either, but we will take on community feedback as we work for you. -Andy
The were several replies of people asking for them to prioritize integration, while a couple wanted them to focus on Docs.
I really like the new look too, it looks a lot cleaner
Though my nitpick is that I'll miss seeing the number of downvotes, especially when visiting !unpopularopinion@lemmy.world
I can't wait for this one! The wait has been soooo long. I think I remember this being in production well before covid.
Where you can find these films:
La Grande Bouffe - this can be found on archive.org to view or download, but it isn't subtitled there. So if you need English subs, I recommend downloading it and using the sub file found here
Meet the Feebles - also on archive.org to watch or download
Lost Highway - it's currently available to stream on the Criterion Channel, but if you can't access that someone uploaded it to youtube
This sounds really really cool, though I'll have to catch it when it's available for streaming because it's not playing anywhere near me
I watched the movie Felidae. I didn’t know what it was about; I had only heard that it wasn’t a kids' movie, and I can definitively attest that it is certainly not a kids' movie. It's pretty good.
I'm just waiting for Terminator Zero to air.
Also the gap between Allred and Cruz is even tighter:

As a grudgingly picky eater, I agree with you
- The Thing
- Alien
- Braindead / Dead Alive
- Possession (1981)
- The Wolf House
This was so hard to narrow down
If I had the money to spare, I'd get a BOOX Palma because its size and features would really suit my needs, though I know it's not for everyone. It also has the ability run any bookstore or ereader app on it, or really just any app in general.
The initial Japanese theatrical release of the film was paired with Hayao Miyazaki‘s My Neighbor Totoro as a double feature for Studio Ghibli.
Oh wow, that's wild. I wonder which one they played first.
I like them, they're entertaining. The second one got a little convoluted, but I still enjoyed it. I also just like the character Benoit Blanc.
I'll be looking forward to this new one.

I watched this really trippy Hungarian movie from the 70's called Bubble Bath ( Habfürdö ). It's available on archive.org.
I recommend it if you like psychedelic/experimental animation, or if you just want watch something interesting after you consume an edible.

I recently switched to using KeePass and Syncthing, and I love them. I was wondering if there's a bookmark manager where I can keep all my bookmarks on a synced file like KeePass. I've tried looking, but I haven't had any luck. Does anyone know of one?

I'm really rooting for this project; it has a lot of promise. It's crowd-sourced and plans to be ad-free.
If you're more curious about details and future plans for the app, the creator did an AMA on Reddit recently.
Though, I've been so busy it's from 5 days ago 😅
