Would this be good for a Plex server?
  • I agree with one of the users. It’s going to use. A bunch of power and its going to be a space heater. You should just get a regular computer. This is a very odd ball thing. But yes it will be able to run plex. But also you can run plex on a ras pi but have it okay via direct play. I don’t use pi. I have. Amd ryzen 7 3700x with 64 gb of ram for my plex served.

  • Hello. I’ve been running pfsense for about 6 months to a year now. I haven’t had any problems with it up until yesterday. I am on version 2.7.0. I can download games like regular form epic games and all the other clients but once I hit steam and start a download the whole router freezes up and does not allow me to do anything. I have to do a hard shutdown and boot it back up after it freezes. I have been able to use steam Download before without any problems before but yesterday and today it’s just not liking it. The only thing that has changed on my network is where I am storing the games. The games is stored on a separate server and on that server had a vhd that I will month and use for epic and all the other clients. For steam. I have the library in a montuted network share. And a 2gb connection from the game rig to the server that has the games. The game rig and the server is both on the same switch and is not direct connected. I have never had issues with this part before either but my thinking is is that haveing the games on the server is making the pfsense freak out but that doesn’t make any sense. Help. I’m at a loss.
