Can't live without total commander ultima prime. Best filemanager suite packed with tools for whatever you might need.

Is it possible to make windows 10 more Private?
Can recommend this, too!
I used their script several years ago to debloat my win10. It needed to boot into linux to fully get rid of certain files and features, but this worked fine.
They now have different scripts used as playbooks to get win to the desired state. Haven't tried yet.

Is there a good collection of survival knowledge compiled somewhere?

There is an app for this. Works offline, available on fdroid and playstore. Covers a lot of topics and the manual is mostly based on military guidelines.
Never needed yet, but it feels good to have it.
