What could have been... Bernie off the top rope!
  • Many people who were going to vote for Bernie ended up voting for Trump.

I don't think that's true. I don't see how anyone who saw themselves as principled supporters of Sanders could ever vote for Trump, they're diametrically opposed. They share nothing in common. The only people who voted that way weren't serious to begin with.

  • Why do they even bother to vote if they don't believe in it. They do vote, because they do believe it counts, because they know the conspiracies are full of shit.

  • I really don't get the "Bernie would have won" mentality. The biggest issues that people officially complain about when it comes to Harris is that she is 'going to bring about socialism'. He's actually a self described socialist flavor, and all the "moderates" who claim they are socially liberal but fiscally conservative would still let the moneyed interests win.

  • We played a round of Angry Birds at a work party where the virtual targets were only maybe 25-30 yards away. Super fun.

    Ok, that does sound fun.

  • I don't know, I still find basketball more boring. That's not to say that golf isn't boring, but if I only had two channels I bet I'd have it on golf. In the background.

Conservatives go to red states and liberals go to blue as the country grows more polarized
  • I'm not going to lie, it's a red state, and has red state problems. I do know a number of gay and trans people here; I'm sure at least some of them want to get out. The thing that makes WY a bit different from OK and TX is that, by and large, people do want to leave others alone by default. This conservative scare shit does work, of course, so it's a problem. But it's always going to stay that way if the demographics don't change.

  • Wyoming would be the easiest to change, frankly, and even one red state flipping to purple (or even blue) would change the Senate landscape incredibly. It's nice here; almost all small towns, and even in some of the larger ones it's easy to walk to work instead of driving.
