What is your best isekai anime?
  • Mushoku is probably the best by such a large margin i couldn't think anyone answering different was serious. Log horizon is probably the only isekai that's done the modern game junk well.

Giles Corey - crushed to death as a witch in Salem
  • Being crushed was a form of torture to force him to submit to a rigged witch trial. He just stood his ground (metaphorically) and asked for more torture.

Mass Effect director says the next game won't feature any Veilguard-style aesthetic switchups: 'Mass Effect is photorealistic and will be as long as I'm running it'
  • Everyone does hate the art direction though, and that's a lot easier to address. Not that pointing to a different game that might not ever even exist when this one flops is a very good way to address it.

"Latna Saga: The Survival Sword King" Anime Adaptation Announced
  • Just the mention of a tutorial system puts me off, but i do conceptually enjoy an isekai where the protagonist is hated. An anti-power fantasy would be greatly enjoyable if that's what they're going for.

[Skill Up] I do not recommend: 'Dragon Age: The Veilguard' (Review)
  • Positive reviews from people that were specifically selected and people who were bribed with given nice vacations trips out to demo the game in person and future access to their games a nice relationship with EA.

  • Then why play dragon age? I wouldn't be happy if mass effect abandoned it's fans to cater to my tastes, that's fucked up.

  • Would it be better to become a darkspawn or die? Generally I'd prefer a series cater to the heart of the series instead of fuck off into an unwanted and disconnected direction.

  • A new era of bad games. Look at Pokemon, those games are almost always bad now, but because it's already popular it'll never improve or go away.

  • I feel like the story has good ideas but ultimately fails, personally. I like the idea of struggling against inevitable tragedy, but when the cause of such tragedy was against always immediately in arms reach of you and caused by a single person it falls flat.
