  • Looking at these lists really makes me glad that I don't share tastes with the average person at this point.

    • Citizen Kane
    • Paprika
    • Forrest Gump
    • Synecdoche, New York

All that monty python shit tells me that I'm in curated reddit-land where white mediocrity rules.

  • It's good entertainment.

As usual, morons on both sides of the fence miss the forest for the trees.

Charlie was a mouthpiece of the ruling class. His whole purpose was to sow division to distract the working class from how it's being exploited by their rulers.

It's good that he's gone, because that's one fewer distraction. It's bad that people, on both sides, still don't realize why it's necessary for people like him to be gone.

We should also be aiming higher. The richer, the better.

  • That’s not always true when members of the team feel really motivated and inspired by a concept.

I agree, but these are the exceptions.

For those people, cutting-edge games will still take a long time because games are complicated and require lots of people working together to pull off, but the end product is usually something spectacular.

  • If you look at history, there has never been a period of significant change without significant bloodshed.

The powers that be have been conditioning us for generations to believe that "violence isn't the answer" so we can't effectively challenge their power.

  • Oh god, don't waste your money on a mini PC unless you specifically have a reason to get something small.

You're literally paying more for worse hardware because of the form factor.

Instead, try getting a used Dell Optiplex. You can buy them at walmart for under $100.

Also, don't kid yourself into thinking your server is going to be more popular than it is. If it's just for you, then there's no way you're going to exhaust its resources unless you're specifically trying to.

  • Probably over a decade ago.

Peertube is the future. It only needs more people, just like everything else federated.

Anyone trying to say a federated option is not the solution is a useful idiot and should be written off accordingly.
