  • The entirety of the Conjuring series was released in recent years when ticket prices were much higher than they were back in the 70s/80s and the population is bigger compared to most other horror series. Plus they were released a lot closer together to keep the momentum going and maintained a similar level of quality as they were not cheap trash after a couple of films, except for maybe one or two. Don't know for sure, only watched the first two Conjuring movies myself.

  • Plastic recycling is a lie, sure.

Recycling other materials like aluminum, steel, copper, glass, and a ton of other materials is perfectly sound. Oil companies just piggybacked on the success with those materials to sell their lie.

  • Filibuster, which they are loathe to let go of since it lets them obstruct even when they lose all three branches.

It is likely that SCOTUS will make something up to let his tariffs stand, so no rush in dropping what remains of the filibuster.

  • Looks like they had something that smelled bad and put it near the fan that sucks air into the suit to keep it inflated. Then the person inside the costume overreacted cartoonishly for laughs.

  • Education needs to move with the times. “AI”, LLMs, etc are not going away and they’re only going to become more and more integrated into everyday life.

Every time I see this I just see capitulation to society's ruin. "Just bend over and take it!"

  • That is often caused by abuse earlier in their life that forms a habit which is hard to break. Frequently being blamed for things they may or may not have done and being forced to apologize becomes a habit, or trying to deflect because they are worried that the other person might be upset when things don't go perfectly can be hard to stop doing.

It does come across as attention seeking.
