This is a thought experiment "Ball on a Table" for detecting whether someone has Aphantasia. What do you see when you perform this experiment?
  • Wait a second.

    • The ball had no color at all
    • The person who pushed the ball didn't even exist. It just got pushed by some invisible force. Naturally, they didn't have an appearance.
    • The ball was like... Small I guess?
    • The table had no properties at all.

Do people really usually have a more vivid picture in their heads? It's always just concepts with me. I'm confused.

    Reality? What Reality?!?
  • Typically, atheists don't spend a lot of time thinking about gods. Also, most theists aren't just theists, they follow a very specific religion/god, which is orders of magnitude less reasonable.

Currently downloading The Witcher 3 for the first time. Got any advice for me?
  • World building and storytelling are top notch.
I personally found the gameplay a little lackluster here and there. Even on the hardest difficulty, I never really had to use potions for example. And looting never felt good to me, it feels very Diablo-esque in that you keep finding a sword that does +2 damage to your previous one. It rarely feels meaningful to loot anything.

Still an amazing game of course.

  • Steam Controller and Steam Deck converted me to controller. Trackpads and touch activated gyroscope are complete game changers. I still can't play first person games with a thumbstick though.
