X rolls out new ad format that can't be reported, blocked
  • It's not collapsing fast enough. Bluesky and threads are both pretty dead. The userbase just doesn't leave, no matter what happens.

..just like with this place... :P

Are you really smart? Are you really dumb? Are you average? How did you come to your conclusion?
  • Same here lol. Don't know that much about movies either though. I'm fairly slow too especially socially but somehow I tricked a woman into loving me... so that's nice.

    Another Starfield Post
  • I'm fine with their writing and their overall gameplay. It's just that they managed to make space feel boring and tiny. All those little areas in-between the loading screens really don't feel like a vast space opera at all.

Also I wish they would just invest into some new game mechanics. Proc gen planets look great and exploring them could have been so much fun 🥲

    *Permanently Deleted*
  • This argument always comes up. But corporations are no independent evil agents trying to destroy the world for the sake of it. They facilitate and produce what people want. So it does have to start with regular people because even though the onus should be on politics, history has shown that this is not working in a democracy.

The decisions politicians would have to make are hugely unpopular and would result in their opposition being voted in to undo those changes.

Not to mention the corruption that's also a pretty big factor in all of this.

Would You Rather Give Up Meat Or Flying For The Environment?
  • I keep reading that. But it's not that simple. Corporations provide what individuals want. Their exploitation of the world's resources and the damage to the climate is a side product of that. They aren't a completely separate entity that do what they do just to be evil.

Governments need to heavily restrict corps and how they operate. Which will come with increased prices and limitations to the people. Which is unpopular and will mean that those politicians won't get back into office...

Which is why nothing will happen and we are all fucked

  • The one thing of value he has left is the user base. And it seems that this will not change, no matter what he does. So unfortunately neither Reddit not Twitter will crumble anytime soon..
