There’s no doubt that there are times during our recent history where media bandwagons onto civil rights movements just to pander to the audience. That’s annoying and is actually part of the problem. I am of the opinion though that sometimes lgbtq+ and racial themes are too forced in media and feels like it’s just pandering or trying to make a point that doesn’t fit smoothly with the story.
